When the staff finally decided to stop chatting and take my order they advised that the deal in the window wasn’t available (large with 2 sides) no apology just deal finished last week but we haven’t taken the sign down, dreadful

The hotel has been refurbished and renamed. Went along for a family birthday dinner - the hotel and restaurant look fantastic! However, the food was poor, particularly the steak pie which was inedible. Several of us had this and no-one questioned why it wasn’t eaten. Other meals were cold, but chips were hot so it looks like the meals were left cooling whilst they waited on chips cooking. My hot chocolate was cold and it was returned. Staff just weren’t professional. It’s a shame because I wanted to like it as so much money has been spent on the great refurb and it would have been a handy place to eat but I’ll pass.

Im not sure why I went, it's a chain! Maybe it was the fact I booked a table for 9 and they took £10 a head deposit!? Anyway, surroundings are nice and staff are nice if a little unattentive - but I can cope with that. The Calamari starter was all greasy batter, little calamari, the tandoori lamb chops (3 chops on a plate of veg) were Chuck as old boots (£24). Other guests faired a bit better. £194 with only 2 people having 1 drink and had no puddings. Very disappointing. Feel utterly ripped off.

The girl on the window was lovely...that is where the happy experience ended. My order - 2 x 3 pcs original chicken, 2 x chips, 1 x coleslaw at about £18 ! As usual 2 x bits of chicken were succulent, but the third was that dry my wife could have used it periodically. Both our meals were the same The chips were made by an alien who had never come across a potato - and didn't know how to produce hot chips. The chips (as I've noticed recently) are stinking of stale cooking fat that lingers on your fingers longer than the smell of fish on your first date ! I've had it with this place - my God, to be in charge of a World renowned franchise and decide to produce crap - bizarre ! Please let the owners be covered in Finger Lickin' coating and have the middle finger planted somewhere that tastes like their product ! AWFUL, DISGUSTING FOOD - BYE, BYE !

Went in for Christmas lunch. Wish I hadn’t bothered. Here’s where it starts. Ordered on the touchscreen 3 course Xmas lunch and 2 course for partner. First they came over and explained fryer was broken no roast potatoes or chips so no problem we opted for potatoes had no choice. So my main came out before the soup grr had to let him know I ordered soup so took my meal back and brought soup out. Partner was finished her meal before I got my main I had to go to kitchen and the girl on the tea counter to chase my main up. So eventually main arrived dried up as they had been put on heat to warm it up. no cauliflower cheese no cranberry sauce this establishment needs a serious talking too. The cook said the order doesn’t come through to our kitchen when you use the touch screen I mean it’s advertised all over about Xmas lunch. I’ll certainly not use this cafe again I only live round the corner as well. I went to kiosk to customer service and she asked if I wanted to speak to a manager by this time a queue was forming so decided to leave it. Someone should seriously consider addressing that cafe as even food turns up with minimal heat even the tea and coffee is lukewarm.

Manager/owner so……rude to myself and other customers when we were there. Staff lovely, don’t know how they put up with his rudeness, if he treats customers like that, sure they get it worse. Will go out of my way to avoid this subway in the future

There was hardly any cheese on any of the pizzas which were cold and distinctly lacking in taste. The nachos also had hardly any cheese on them. Again, hardly any cheese on the 'cheesy' garlic bread. The wedges weren't cooked properly and were frozen/raw in the middle. £55??? Wasn't worth £15. Will never order from pizza hut again!

I think this may have been called The Lanes or something but when we visited on Saturday evening it was chaos. Bartender didn't seem to know how to use the till. Server brought our food and said 'enjoy' - I had to ask for cutlery since I ordered the fish and chips ... About my food, the tartar sauce and mushy peas were missing. My husband had nachos with topping. Again, all dips were missing and he had to ask for them. Seems the chef needs to learn the menu... One bartender told us they only opened the day before, but if that's the case a refit didn't happen because it's tired looking. Still, good luck to them and hopefully things will improve. We went back later in the evening for a drink, but it'll be a while before I order food again.
