This was our first time ordering from Ho's as a Hogmanay treat, we have been let down by other chinese takeouts in the area, and we thought we ought to give it a try. I was encouraged by the fact that the restaurant had won awards, and that was definitely one of the selling points. While the bill was higher than we had expected, the gent working in the restaurant assured us we were in for a treat. What a treat it was; the food was aromatic and fresh, piping hot and tasted clean. We ordered an array of dishes but the standouts were definitely the salt and chili chicken balls, the chow mein and the gravy. The S&C chicken balls were arguably the best I have ever tasted, and my family thought the same. There was no doughy/stodgy batter as we had come to expect from other takeaways, instead the batter was crispy and well-seasoned and the chicken itself was juicy and fresh. While we went for a plain chow mein, it was absolutely delicious. With other takeaways, I have found that the noodles often have a soapy and unpleasant aftertaste, however the plain chow mein at Ho's was delicious and had that flavourful wok-char that is the hallmark of a proper chow mein. The gravy was superb, it tasted exactly like old school chinese gravy that you never seem to find anymore. It wasn’t overly sweet, nor was the flavour overpowering- it added to the flavour of the dish. An honorable mention goes to the Sweet and Sour Chicken (HK style), as everything about it was delicious. The sauce contained thinly sliced carrots which again was old school, and definitely appreciated. The ingredients, presentation and flavour of the dishes were imense, and the staff were incredibly friendly and hard-working! If you have any doubts about ordering from here, don't. It is worth every penny, and we still have leftovers!

I have searched high and low on the internet, but there is no culture on earth that traditionally eats cheesecake with the fingers. This year's culinary innovation is the sole brainchild of Anniesland's Costa branch. When I answered in the negative to the question "Is there anything else?" prior to being served a slice of Biscoff cheesecake, I didn't realise this was my chance to enjoin my server to provide me with the means with which to eat it. My barista presented me with my lunchtime treat with no ceremony spent save for the serving plate, proceeding to retreat behind a colleague who was serving my friend. They then hovered in the middle-distance, seemingly trying to mirror my quizzical gaze towards this unheralded dessert-sans-cutlery before me, only their puzzlement was over my inability to appreciate the creative possibilities ahead. But before I could embark on this new adventure in coffeehouse eating, a more conservative staff member partnered my order with my friend's and hurriedly provided a fork. I'm ordering soup next time.

Our weekend destination to grab Chinese bites. If you love to eat spicy then please do inform them and they can make as per your tastes. I love their munchi boxes , Kung po chicken and chowmins. Try their sweet corn chicken soup. Do try this outlet and you will never regret. They do give free prawn crackers as well

The best around, evidenced by the number of staff inside keeping the process going and the continuous queue which can stretch outside waiting. If people are happy to queue outside for something in Scotland then it must be good. They also deliver which means you don't need to queue outside these days.
