Ho’s Chinese Knightswood in Glasgow City

Never had a bad meal from here, highly recommend.

We ordered over the phone, and finally managed to get them on an evening when they were not over an hours wait to get food. Drove all the way from the southside of Glasgow to Knightwood as we had been looking forward to trying this place soo much all this week. Came home excited and very hungry. we order the lamb ribs, King prawn tempura, the hot box and what was meant to be chicken satay stir fry but we only got the the tub of satay and the stir fry was missing (not overly fussed as these things happen), however, the majority of the other three boxes we just raw onions. So much so that I spent the first ten mins before tucking in removing the 4 odd whole opinions in the three tubs. I do like onions but not for it to be the majority of my dish and raw. The smell of the raw onions has engulfed my car during the drive home. The tempura, hot box and satay tub were great! and tasted amazing. those lamb ribs however.... I am not sure that gamey flavour of the lamb work at all with a sweet "chilli" sauce. They are two very contrasting strong flavours and we all agreed it could have been left off the order. only two ribs were even attempted. the rest unfortunately have to be left outside for the foxes. Overall it was okay, but I wouldn't be rushing back to drive that distance again for a basic Chinese I could have had from my local down the road.

Today we ordered chicken chow mein spicy one , it’s was very very delicious, staff over there received very well , must try guys , you will love it ❤️🫶

First time trying ho's chinese honestly the food was really really tasty. I got the prawn fried noodles with the beef noodle soup.I was blown away by the flavours. Deffo one of my favourite places now. I will be ordering regulary. Thank you very much :)

Me and my boyfriend have been searching for the best Chinese takeaway for years, there’s never been one we have ordered that we haven’t had to check the quality of the meat or it’s been far too greasy or just in general poor quality, but we found Ho’s only maybe a few months ago from word of mouth and every single time we order, the food is cooked to perfection, we don’t need to check the quality of the chicken we can just eat it and it’s never tough and me being picky it’s great to not have to worry about any gross bits in it, the shop itself is soooo clean! And the fact you can see into the kitchen and you can see how unbelievably clean it is in there aswell is just wow, everyone is so nice and the service is amazing from the phone call to picking it up, it’s also very fair priced and even the quality of their bags and containers are impressive in itself. This is hands down the best Chinese we’ve ever been to and it will definitely be our Chinese until we die 🤣 thank you!!

What's has happened in this place, this was once the best Chinese in the area, the last twice I have ordered it has been terrible, don't waste your money folks, will certainly not use again

So bad. Ribs meat tasted off. Curry sauce was so thin. Satay was just blended peanuts. Brutal hate it when you get a bad one

Went for the Chicken fried rice, king prawn chow mein and honey chilli chicken. All was really tasty and the sauces were spot on, new favourite Chinese

Just had thee best Chicken Satay on Skewers the 3 portion was more than enough and absolutely delicious would highly recommend

Had a takeaway (home delivery which arrived 20 mins after order) and finally found a Chinese!! Szechuan Chicken was amazing with a nice chilli kick to it, wife said its the best Chicken Fried Rice since we moved back to Glasgow that she's had.

After seeing this place on Rocco's quick bites I went to check it out, was class and good value for money.

Delivery was late. Food was cold.

I ordered prep meals for the week and by god wasn’t disappointed the food was amazing just the right amount, the dishes are all calorie counted for you which is great there is barcodes on dishes which you can scan to your fitness pal app for counting calories, Protien and carbs they were very punctual and attentive

Tried the Korean Honey chicken was fantastic and will Definitely be ordering it again So fresh and with a nice kick of the fresh chilli’s

Highly recommend the Korean chilli chicken if your feeling like trying something different, Little kick to it. Been coming here a while now and everything is 10/10. Top quality fresh ingredients. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed

Certainly not a Chinese takeaway no Chinese to be seen look like blokes from Syria or Afghanistan to be honest I ordered fried rice curry sauce and onions and a portion of prawn crackers dreadful over curried the sauce my lips were burning kinda over doing it folks I remember when this was a great place real authentic Chinese food not this pretending to be Chinese cooks,Its like those who say they are Turkish barbers when they are nothing to do with Turkey poor sorry won't be back.

Have ordered from ho's good few times was really delighted with food was delicious, but ordered tonight for king prawn satay chicken satay was so disappointed it must have been different chef I had carrots in both which was still raw, a satay is nice and thick but to my dismay it was like a runny satay am sorry to say, last time I ordered the satay was lovely, but tonight so disappointed, nothing like satay in past orders, so my Saturday treat of takeaway from ho's was very disappointing never had carrots before and would not want them again was nearly £40 no extras like last time would rate 5 stars in past but tonight none was like puddle on plate

A great Chinese takeaway. Really unique dishes on the menu like the Katsu chow mein, and the salt & chilli dishes. Particularly love the crispy onions for some dipping! 🤩 The best satay sauce though, completely unmatched.

I heard great things about Ho’s Chinese, in fact heard so many good things I knew I had to try it and drove 35 minutes to the restaurant. I was left a little disappointed with my order when getting home when I found my order was wrong and items were missing. Given I travelled 35 minutes there and 35 minutes home, I couldn’t justify returning to the shop again, so settled for what I did receive. It was a shame as I feel I did not enjoy the food as much as I could have if I had received the correct order.

Girl serving behind till very friendly and helpful and shop very clean and would highly recommend and will use again. Only thing I would say to others that I didn't do is better to phone in order and pick up rather than wait as shop very busy so had wee 25 mins wait on food to be prepared. the food is excellent but i feel like the portion size isn’t the greatest. also forgot my can of irn bru and took 2 hours to arrive but the foods always top notch

Tried this place for the first time tonight. Ordered for collection then broke down. Called them and if it delivered with cutlery to the layby we were in while waiting for the AA. Despite the delay from when we ordered our food it was amazing. Girl on the phone so helpful. Amazing. Will definitely be back

My daughter put me on to their prepared meals for delivery, can’t believe you can get such high quality meals delivered to your door. To say that the food is delicious would be an understatement. Been wanting to try this place for ages..it was good but nothing spectacular. Salt & chilli chicken was average to be honest, no better than my usual takeaway. I guess I was expecting to be blown away. Seemed like there was a whole diced onion in the box? Also ordered a chicken noodle soup and was given chicken & sweetcorn instead - no real issue here as it was very good.

Great Chinese! No matter what I get, it is delish! For those reviews that are complaining about the waiting times for food - pre order online and the food comes around the time you want it. We have never had an issue this way. Highly recommend PITA rolls when they come on the menu, crispy chicken in peking and pork and black bean 😋😋

Just under 3 hours waiting on my food. When I called at the 2 hour point I was told my food was in a que to be cooked. I was then told my food would be ten minutes. Fast forward 56 minutes and my food finally arrives. Will never order from here again. Absolute joke.

got to say, I have been really wanting to try for a while and it was bang average, another tik tok fad that wasn’t worth the hype. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t amazing, it was just okay , it was just meh. Asked for super hot spicy and there wasn’t much spice. Very greasy, It wasn’t warm at all. Disappointing experience, unsure if this is what the food is always like but it definitely looks better than it tastes, a waste of money for sure left most of it. The maylasian satay sauce was thick cold goo, people rave about it as well

We travel from the east end of Glasgow it’s that good!!! Extra hot curry sauce with your meal a must!! Salt and chilli chips are awesome!!!

I’ve been ordering ho’s meal preps for a month to help me while being in a calorie deficit .. macros all worked out for you & can also be scanned on my fitness pal! (Macros r great) These have helped me with my weightloss journey. Highly recommend .. service is great & drivers are very pleasant. Meals r good portion size, very fresh and who doesent want to be eating Chinese most nights🤤 .. Honey chilli chicken is the best. You won’t regret trying these & will be hooked just like I am

Nice gut busting food once in a blue moon for me

Had friends over on Saturday night and we all fancied chinese..Unfortunately 1 of my friends only eats foo yung and wasn't on menu. Phoned shop to enquire about providing a foo yung to be told sorry but no..Not a problem but as there was 9 of us they missed out on a £100+ delivery order..Their loss was another takeaways gain...

We've ordered a number of times from here, its normally a hit or a miss. So disappointed tonight, far too much salt and tastes of old oil, very greasy. Prawn crackers and rice were good.

Hit or miss, some of the food here is good sometimes. Other times like tonight the chicken n cashew nuts is really bamboo and water chestnuts cos of the paltry amount of chicken. And cashews. This place ain't no New Skydragon, that's for sure (why did it have to close :()

Tried ho’s for the first time after watching a few TikTok’s and recently moving into the area. The chicken balls and chips were fresh and crispy, rice was fresh, chicken in the curry was soft and tender. However, the curry sauce was watery and flavourless which let the meal down.

Saw the hype on tiktok so wanted to try when visiting friends in the area and Ho's didn't disappoint. Clean place and great food. Would definitely return if in the area.

Food and service is top drawer. Staff are very friendly and the food was perfect. Now our regular go to for Chinese food.

Overall best Chinese in town however I had two orders in a row not in usual standards!! Chips had a funny taste of old oil!! The portions are also getting smaller and smaller although the prices are being increased! The delivery guy (the older one) was also extremely rude!!!

Unfortunately felt I had to give a bad review after very poor customer service I received after phoning and commenting on how inedible the food was I received. I had salt and chilli chicken balls with rice and sauce. The chicken balls were very soggy as if they had been sitting for a while before being re-heated and also 2 of them were solid and very chewy-not how chicken should be. Having seen how chicken balls are made in a Chinese these were definitely not fresh. After phoning they offered me a 10%. Discount if I was to come back again.😂 What a joke! Fortunately there is plenty in this area to choose from in future. Sadly I’ll not be back after this.

Absolutely loved the entire meal. So freshly made with amazing traditional flavours, chicken and sweetcorn soup took me back to my younger years of a flavoursome wee pot of soup. The chicken curry, plain noodles and s & p chicken were all divine. The delivery was quicker than expected which was fab too and respectful of property and pleasant Overall a great service from beginning to end shall definitely be ordering again, many thanks 👍🏻

Well I wish I had found this Chinese takeaway much sooner , gorgeous shop with nice friendly owner and girl serving at counter , food was outstanding hot and freshly made , prices are very reasonable looking forward to working my way down the menu , it’s a must if you haven’t tried will not be disappointed.

First visit to Ho’s after seeing a tiktok and it didn’t disappoint. Had BBQ spare ribs & there was loads of them and so meaty. The same goes for the salt and chilli chicken. Was travelling to Livingston and asked for it to be well wrapped. It was still as hot when I got home too as they had used insulated bags. Will definitely be returning the food tasted amazing

Was recommended to try Ho's Chinese by many people and it didn't disappoint! The takeaway is super clean and food is made hot and fresh. I'd recommend you try their Salt Pepper King Prawns and the Malaysian Satay. Deffos was a great hangover takeaway food.

The best in the business, the beef is something else

Unfortunately my boys and I didn't enjoy our meal, curry was really spicy compared to others we've tried, which is fair enough as others may like it like that, but not for us lol. I also asked for gravy with one of the happy meals but got curry sauce, my boy ended up eating dry rice 🥵 their wontons were nice and there sweet and sour is nice that I've tried before. Just won't be ordering curry from there again ☹️

5/5 ✨ We ordered 28/7 had a 15 minute wait! Food was picture perfect, immaculate takeaway inside and out and well packaged. We ordered Chicken Satay, plain chow mein, veg chow mein, breast of chicken curry and boiled rice. The Chicken Curry was perfect our 12 year old thoroughly enjoyed her serving as did my husband they both said it’s the best they’ve tasted. The chicken was so soft and the sauce was perfect. My chicken satay was out of this world 10/10 doesn’t seem enough, it was succulent, flavoursome and the veg was just OMG, the family all tried it and eyes were popping! I could honestly eat it again. The plain chow mein was balanced perfectly and the noodles were cooked to perfection. Veg Chow Mein was amazing honestly can’t put in to words how much this was enjoyed. Ho’s we don’t live local but you are worth the jaunt! We will be ordering again. Value for money 10/10 under £30 and fed 5 of us WOW. Well done 👏🏼

I had a veg chow mein last night and it was honestly the best thing I’ve ate. It had so much veg in it and noodles were just the right amount too, curry sauce was amazing and the prawn crackers were perfect. 10/10.

Definitely my new local takeaway, it was soooo good. Not full of salt as some Chinese food and was really well packaged so no leaky containers.

Amazing food and even better customer service! So accommodating fitting in a last minute buffet order on what is a very busy Saturday night for the team at Ho’s. Really disappointed in this takeaway, after many raves from family member & reviews...ordered meal from here, unfortunately most of it went in bin 🪣 supposedly 'breast' chicken fried rice, dry, uber chewy and inedible 😝 curry sauce way too strong to enjoy, salt/chilli balls - batter soggy & chicken blahh...and nephew who literally eats anything, threw meal away, only thing good was crackers...£24 for 2 dishes & sauce, thrown together quickly....not worthy

Best Chinese take out in Scotland. I travel from Livingston to get one and they double wrapped everything for me to keep it a warm as possible.

Absolutely terrible service. Placed an order online and paid for it, 2hrs later and still no delivery. After 2 phone calls they tried to say that their online order system indicates a 90 minute wait. It did not. Called at the 2hr mark to be told “we’re making it just now and awaiting a driver”. Order cancelled and never will I use them again. If I could give 0 stars I would. They’re not worth the 1.

Nearly 2 hours my food took to come however I will put that down to being a Saturday night and they are probably extremely busy. The food came warm curry was absolutely lovely and worth the wait last thing I will write is maybe a little less onions in the curry far to much lol

Absolutely love this place. Travelled from Cumbernauld to get food from here everytime 1st class without fail. Me and my mrs are total Satay fiends and handsdown the malaysian satay is the best i’ve tried the sauce is proper nice and consistent no runny. Salt and chilli excellent, chow meins nice and clean tasting place is immaculate as well. Can tell they take pride in their business love that cause when someone cares that much they put the effort into everything and it reflects on the food 5 stars easy days.

Brilliant Chinese food, we’re from the highlands and finding a good Chinese is pretty difficult Excellent quality food and very enjoyable, friendly staff and quick service. Would definitely recommend this place👍

Disappointed!! Firstly, my partner and I were actually going to cancel our order because of the attitude of the girl who took our order. Kind of wish we did and saved ourself almost £30. The girl taking our order was abrupt and rude. When she advised us of the price and I questioned why it was more expensive than online her response was "I don't know how it works." Sorry but is that not your job? Was happy to charge me more until I questioned it more and she checked with someone. She then returned to say "its because you've not said if you wanted a satay starter or main so I charged you for the main!" This is the first time we had ever ordered from here so I would expect to be asked which one I wanted not just charged for the main (I wasn't aware they had a main version of the stater). The girl talked over me even though these were her mistakes. We travelled a distance to try this Chinese and have been left annoyed, the food is so salty we haven't been able to eat it. We ordered the salt and pepper chips and chicken but the salt levels are a bit ridiculous. As though someone has tipped half a jar of salt over it all. Chips were soggy, rice was congealed. The one star is for the curry sauce and the presentation as those are nice. However, I feel annoyed at the price we have paid and we can't eat it and received poor customer service.

I was recommended this is take away, heard and read good reviews. Ordered crispy chicken in a spicy sauce. Unfortunately it's wasn't crispy or spicy. Neither me or my partner were able to enjoy our dish due to the amount of salt. Pity

Son has been sing his praises on this takeaway a recent find for him after a few recommendations. We ordered two meals I had chicken sweet corn which was piping hot lots of chicken and good, husband chicken noodle it was good also. I then had mini veg rolls more pastry than veg, husband salt and pepper wings he thought they were excellent came with lots of mixed veg. My main was supposed to be beef in black bean husband chicken and black bean He started before me and thoroughly enjoyed it MINE tasteless no seasoning he thought I was joking until he tasted it nothing like his. Managed to use some of his sauce over my beef but left most of it I hate waste. Do not know what went wrong but someone took their eye of the pot. It did arrive 30 minutes earlier than expected.

Ho's must be the best Chinese takeaway in Glasgow. Every dish I have tried has been absolutely delicious and also great value for money. They are also able to cater for many dietary requirements including gluten free breadcrumb dishes such as salt and chilli chicken....amazing! The staff are so friendly and accommodating. 100% our new favourite takeaway!

WOW!!!!!!! I had a takeaway on Saturday(21/11/2020) after a recommendation,I was blown away by the quality and taste of the food! This is the best Chinese food I have ever tasted!! It is Michelin Star material!!!! I got the set meal for 1 which included, chicken and sweetcorn soup,salt n pepper chicken wings and beef curry with boiled rice,A TENNER!!!!!!!! The portion size would have fed about 3 people nearly let alone one!!! I rarely give reviews, probably because I'm too lazy but I had to with this Chinese takeaway,it was OUTSTANDING!! The staff very friendly and busy as bees yet they still produce quality and value for money food on a conveyor belt!! Gold stars all round for a tremendous team effort!!!!!

Ordered a delivery at 6.00pm and still had no food by 8.25pm!! This is the second time we have ordered from here and experienced a ridiculously long wait time! We were told delivery would be around an hour and a half and reluctantly accepted this, however even this expectation was not met! When I called to ask what was happening with our food I was asked if I wanted to cancel our £36.00 order! Not customer service by any stretch of the imagination. We fully appreciate that these are challenging times but having used other food delivery services, we have not experienced a 2 and a half hour wait or anything close to that for the food to arrive. The driver finally turned up at 8.30 and was very apologetic. Not his fault that the food was so late and that we had gone way past feeling hungry, but unfortunately this very poor service has put us off using Ho's again and so we won't be ordering a third time.

We'd been following these guys on Instagram for a while and their food looked amazing so naturally we had to try it out. We were not disappointed! We got a bunch of stuff to try and we liked every piece of it, looking forward to making this a regular on our list.

Very disappointed ordered roast chicken which was suppossed to be with gravy , mushrooms and onions , but unfortunately there was very little gravy, no mushrooms or onions but a a strange tasting lettuce instead , rest of the order was good .

Excellent Chinese takeaway, loved the honey chilli chicken, and the beef was very tender and flavorful. Great chicken balls and prawn crackers too. Veg spring rolls could use more filling, however nothing was too greasy or overwhelming. Will definitely order again. Thanks Ho!

Some very good food! The chicken satay is excellent and so is the special chow mein! Also make sure you try the haggis spring rolls with curry sauce
