Whistler on the green in Glasgow City

Cute spot near Glasgow Green. Great for students for discounts. Have Blue Moon, which is a plus. Overall great greenery spot to have a pint by the Green.

Wow. The food was absolutely amazing. I was staying at the premier inn about 500 metres away from the hotel , and got fed up with hotel food. Found this little gem on my walk around. I had the Sunday roast beef and it was stunning. There was live music on while I was there which made it even better. The staff was very nice and the service was incredible. Will definitely be coming back in the week to try their lasagna.

Great pub and atmosphere. Love that the live sports are on. Great service from lovely staff. But food quality was terrible. £26 for a Sunday Roast, that tasted like a microwave meal from Aldi.

WOW! what a great find this place was. I ate the lasagna which was amazing followed with the best Guinness I’ve had in Scotland. Brian the bartender was great chat and the pub dog was adorable. I highly recommended this place if you enjoy a great atmosphere and fabulous food and drink.

Great music i fantastic service, really nice an cosey place , food for party and set menues for christmas is twerible. The worst food i ever ate. Instead of trout pate with radish, we got salmon smoothy that you could eat with a spoon, duck was soo under cooked, the fat could be cut with a knife and the meat was undercooked, practicaly row in the middle , the seafood is disapointing two prawns, two mussles and a scalop for a main in a tastless tomato soup from a tin dusted with chives, sticky toffy cake had nothing sticky but a dense, drie and burned spunge.. not sure what a normal menue is like but chrismass one is to avoid. Wine and selection of drinks is excellent, place takes dogs and it is very clean and cosy

Super cozy pub! There was a party going on while we were there and it was very funny (service did indicate that it was normally not that busy). Furthermore, the service was very attentive and the food came very quickly. They have nice beers. All in all, highly recommended!

This place is amazingly convenient right next to Glasgow green and where I live so I like to go there frequently with my dog. It can get very busy on the weekend but weekdays it is nice and low-key.

Lovely place to grab a drink and bite to eat. Got a great coffee and a delicious bowl of Cullen Skink for lunch. Rest of the family where pleased with theirs too!

I highly recommend this pub, right next to Glasgow green. Staff are very friendly, and it has a great beer selection. They also do a pub quiz which I absolutely love.

We haven't tried the food, but it looks so good, we want to come back to try it! Great moment sitting outside, with a nice view over the park. Great atmosphere.

Never had food just paid 45 for tickets thst this place promoted on line as part of the glasgow on the green 25th aguust . Washout no music well litte 10 people about in pouring rain and small food stall not what it advertised left after 10 mins very disappointing and cat park warden's more than people's so beware where you park too heavy fines.

Pub with kitchen and full service, with table ordering, unlike most places in Scotland. Good food, adequate prices.

Arrived at 2, still hadn’t had any food by 4.30 so left, Guinness was good though.

Went in tonight with my husband for a drink, barman was the most insulting individual I’ve came across! Every question which was about cocktails was an effort for him to shrug his shoulders to! At no point did he offer any help! Left after the disgraceful treatment! Staff at the door was very helpful but would NOT recommend after the experience. Never been made to feel like trash before

Fantastic pub for dinner, drinks and football. Can’t recommend enough. I go with my family or friends about twice a month and absolutely love the food, atmosphere and staff. Great addition to the East end of Glasgow!

Unpaid invoices, and no contact. We were running the quiz nights in Whistler on the Green for a while, team numbers were good and everything seemed to be going well. The management decided to go a different direction with the quiz, which is completely understandable, but from that moment decided to completely ignore the build up of invoices that were unpaid and overdue for the services we had provided. I would suggest avoiding this bar if you run a small business or know anyone that does, they don't pay their bills and chasing this kind of debt costs huge amounts of money (without guarantee of pay), takes time and energy which most small business owners can't afford. We have offered Brian, the owner, payment plans and tried to keep the communication channels open but we have been completely ghosted. We know hospitality is struggling right now but it is bars and business people like this that make the situation worse for anyone who works with them. Update: The day after this review was posted one of the invoices was paid, so they know about the amounts overdue. No communication around the rest of the overdue amounts. Maybe this is the only place they are seeing my messages, if so: If you'd like a payment plan, get in touch, we can work that out.

First time visit, good atmosphere but a bit loud for us eating. They relocated us to a quieter spot and we're very grateful. First time I have spent £14 on a burger and it arrived in what I would call a side plate. My wife's salad was on a flat plate where you would expect it in a bowl, food wise we felt a bit let down.

This is one of the few proper pubs in Glasgow city centre that does decent scran. Friendly service and the steak & frites were superb. We'll be back.

Small old pub with good music and young staff

I'd heard good things and wasn't disappointed. Great wee pub with a lovely atmosphere and great staff. We ordered the wings, the smash burger and a chicken ceaser salad. All were excellent. My wife said it was the best burger she's had in Glasgow. We will definitely be back soon. A family and dog friendly establishment that I'd happily recommend.

Love the vibe of this place. A nice place for a quiet drink or somewhere to bring the whole family for food. Shows the football. Great food. Good snacks.

Absolutely shocking customer service. I went in on a Friday afternoon. Bring alone and waiting for a friend after a funeral I looked for a small table so as not to hog space. Explaining this, I was directed to a small table in the near empty pub. The pub filled up quicky after 5pm leaving no tables free. The bartender then came to me and said he had taken a booking for the table, was reserved immediately for arrival in five minutes, and put a reservation on the table. If you don't have tables free, you do not take a booking and then force a customer to leave. It is not just poor service, it is disgraceful behaviour. Not only will I not be back, I will certainly not recommend this place to others, which i had considered after my previous visit to the pub.

Lovely dog friendly, family run pub. Perfect to relax after a good walk in the park across the road. Did not expect how good the quality of food, thought pub food. Expectations way exceeded. Shift manager/bartender was a sweetheart. Very cosy place. Will be back!

Looking for a bite to eat, and the smash burger was really good. Should have had the chips though......... Beer was good, but us Midlanders not used to paying £6.50 a pint! £4.20 in my local. Seriously, I'd certainly go here again if in Glasgow. Cheers!

This is a fabulous little Glasgow pub. It has a wonderful traditional feel to it, warm and welcoming. It has a great range of beers and spirits, as well as what looks like a great food menu. Situated next to Glasgow Green near the McLennan Arch. I thoroughly recommend visiting.

Cracking boozer en route to The Barrowlands, nipped in for a Couple Pints, lovely clean boozer, never had food(eating is cheating when on the swally) but seemingly it's a must 👍🏻 Lovely couple behind the Bar & their well behaved Dog were all lovely & chatty 👍🏻 Well deffo pay another visit when am back down in Glasgow.

I had meant to try here for ages. Staying in town overnight was the perfect opportunity. Brilliant location. Really welcoming place. We had a bottle of pinot noir to accompany our meal which was perfect. The food was amazing. We both had the seared scallop starter and the roast turkey breast main. THEY WERE GLORIOUS. Fantastic food served in a cosy place by really nice folk. It’s a winner!!

Fantastic traditional pub near the People's Palace, Arch, and Glasgow Green. Cozy spot with low ceilings and some booths. Lots of beers and wines. Friendly service. We enjoyed a delicious appetizer and soup.

A stones throw from a Glasgow green and with a few outdoor tables and some unusual craft beer options it’s a perfectly pleasant place to peruse passers by and partake in a pint.

Great bar for a few good pints and a bite to eat. Nestled right off of Glasgow Green it's a perfect location to sit and enjoy the sunshine. Highly recommend.

Really like this pub! Great addition to Merchant city! My only very small suggestion is that they have a wider beer selection and possibly include a cask ale or two. It has a cosy old vibe and I fancy a nice ale when I am there. Otherwise brilliant and will continue to frequent and recommend to others.

I just spent 10 days in Scotland, and was everywhere from Edinburgh to Inverness, from Skye to Glascow. I have to say, of all the places I ate, Whistler on the Green was the BEST food of the entire trip, pleasantly surprised for a pub! We ordered the West Coast mussels, the Mac n Cheese, and a Hummus dish. Each was made fresh to order and tasted superbly good. The bartender/server was very pleasant and took good care of us. It was also great to meet Pie, the dog that is there! Would definitely return and would definitely recommend.

Came here for a drink on Friday for a drink before Transmt. Really nice little pub. Fab staff and atmosphere. Loved the photos on the walls. We didn't eat but the stuff on the chalkboard looked great. I'm on Edinburgh and would definitely return next time I'm in Glasgow.

The pub was very busy due to the festival and other circumstances but the staff were lovely and worked hard to help every customer they could. Great attitude and good value.

Great we pub with an excellent selection of rums. Which is not often the case 8n other pubs. Great friendly staff, even gave us table service when the noticed I had finished my rum and coke.

Great pub for a weekend bottle of wine and dinner. Service is always very friendly. When we went the roast wasn't amazing but the cheeseburger was absolutely dynamite.

Went for a quiet pint with my work mate , witnessed a man with his knee on a woman's neck just out side the bar , I helped the woman to then be told by the perpetrator that I was scum and I was to leave the premises, first and last time I'll drink in there and I work in bar in city centre I sure won't be , saying anything good about this place . Bullys and fat ones at that and also make well claim to be male could be homosapians .

Lovely Friendly pub, and the food is great. Service is on the slow side, but I think that has more todo with how popular they. The lady that served us never stopped when we where in, but she was still smiling and courteous
