Sims Garden in Glasgow City

Been going here for years now. Sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style is very good. Their Chicken satay on skewer is class - very fresh. Salt and chilli chicken wings also very good. I’ve tried most Chinese takeaway's in the year and rate this one very highly.

Love Sim's Garden. Great, solid, reliable Chinese takeaway. Excellent menu choice, super friendly staff and good value for money. Any time we have visitors, and order from here, they always say it's better than their own local Chinese takeaway!

Food was dreadful. Ordered a chicken chow mein, snack box and chips and most of it went in the bin. Chips drenched in vinegar and inedible. Chicken balls and rice with sauce, rice was stale and sauce very very thin and hardly any. Chow mein was nice but noodles all cut small and didn't feel very fresh. Won't order from here again.

Well on a visit to Scotland. My hotel restaurant was closed so I decided to go and try this takeaway out . Absolutely delicious food. I wish it was in my hometown. I would be in every week !!! Can’t wait to come back one day .

I would have given this review a minus number if it was available. Placed an order (days before) for a Xmas day delivery at 5.30pm. On Xmas day, the food had not arrived by 5.50pm and on calling the shop to see if it was on route, the phone was answered by a female who couldn't have cared less that the food had not been delivered. She was very cheeky and said the arranged time is only a guideline! She said my order was still at the shop and the driver was away elsewhere. She didn't know when he would be back and he would get to me when he gets to me! She said he could be held up!! By who? Santa? The roads are hardly heaving on Xmas day!! There was no phone call to say the order would be late, no apology and no offer to call me once the driver had picked up my order and was on route. She just repeated, he'll get to you when he gets to you!! I came off the phone with no idea when the order would arrive. Her attitude was a disgrace. She needs a crash course in customer services. If these people are not happy working on Xmas day, they should not be offering a service. The food arrived at 6.35pm. Suffice to say, I refused it at the door. If you don't want your Xmas dinner spoiled, STAY CLEAR OF THIS SHOP.

Really enjoy this little takeaway. The food is cooked in the old fashioned Chinese style like the 90s so it’s a win win. Would return and would recommend. Always quick too when ordering & prices are extremely reasonable.

Best take away In West End especially after 12 hour day shift. Lovely friendly staff. Super tasty food. Never had a bad experience.

If you are North Indian looking for good Chinese then no brainer option is this outlet. Do try their chowmein range , sweet and sour pork and many other items are also great... Must visit for Indian taste

This is a great Chinese. Best in the Westend hands down. It’s hard to find a Chinese that uses good quality meat but this place has very high standards all round. Try it you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent food, my favourite place for a Chinese takeaway

This is a great Chinese but i find it very hard to get through to them on The phone. Last time I called them last week I called from opening time and didn't get answered for almost two hours. Tonight is the same, I've been calling since opening time and it's been engaged for two hours. Their phones are either not working (for over a week) or they are taking it off the hook. I'm calling one more time and if it's engaged again still in afraid I'll have to find another Chinese take away that answers their phone.

Consistent winners for me from Sim's are the Yung Chow chow mein or fried rice (I think better than special), BBQ chicken satay skewers (comes with chunky onions, green peppers and mushrooms), the salt and pepper chicken balls, the chicken breast curry and won ton soup. I've tried a couple of other things (Kon Sui & Kung po) that were ok, lots of nice fresh veg through them but the sauce was a bit watery, a bit bland. The ingredients are always good quality. The char sui pork is always quite lean, not fatty chunks of gristle. Staff are always nice.

Pedimos una selección de platos para compartir que incluía pollo satay, pollo chow mein, arroces, salsas y patatas fritas. La comida estaba muy bien presentada y tenía un sabor fantástico. Mi única crítica, y es pequeña, es que las patatas fritas estaban demasiado saladas. A un precio razonable. Personal amigable. Vale la pena intentarlo.

Amazing food wouldnt go any where else

Hemos estado pidiendo comida por teléfono a Sims durante unos 20 años. Las comidas son siempre frescas, cocinadas a pedido y bien calientes. Todo el personal es amable y atento y tiene los pedidos listos en 20 - 30 minutos si se llama por teléfono, me encanta el toque personal. El mejor consejo es probar el curry, la carne está tan tierna y la salsa no te volará la boca. Fácilmente el mejor chino para llevar en el área de Anniesland - Temple, sigan con el buen trabajo.

Vivimos muy cerca de esta comida para llevar, pero nunca antes habíamos comprado nada. . . Estábamos haciendo algunas compras cerca y nos decidimos por una comida para llevar en lugar de cocinar. Pedimos un curry de carne con arroz boild y un pollo agridulce con arroz frito. El curry de carne era bastante bueno, pero personalmente sentí que podría haber sido un poco más fuerte, aunque la carne estaba bien preparada. El arroz hervido estaba bien. . bastante estándar pero quizás un poco recocido. El pollo agridulce tenía una salsa encantadora pero la masa estaba un poco empapada aunque el arroz frito era muy bueno. . así que como digo, un poco si una bolsa mixta. . algunos bits muy buenos, otros bastante estándar. . . lo usaríamos nuevamente, lo más probable es que intentemos algo diferente.

Al visitar a un amigo, vinimos aquí después de tomar una copa para llevar algo. Personal realmente amable y televisión decente de buena calidad para ver mientras espera (si eso es lo que le gusta) Comida: promedio con una patada picante decente, pero lamentablemente le falta un poco de sabor. Barato y abundante sin embargo.

I've almost grew up with this restaurant, and watched it grow to become even better when I thought it never could be. The best food I've ever tried from a Chinese, is from the little place. It's so underrated, I dont understand why. Keep up the great job... and I highly recommend that you extend your business throughout.

We tried all the surrounding Chinese takeaways when we moved to the area and the Singapore noodles are the best on offer. Always a cheerful welcome and fast service even when we order at peak times.

Hi Guys dont want to confuse you the currys were Good just not all of the time sometimes the chicken was Bland other times really tasty, i dont know if its anything to do with different chefs anyway you should try at least once to help you decide. Thankyou Jacqueline Glasgow

I have used this take away dozens of times and never had a bad meal. I always phone in and collect to speed up delivery cause it is always busy at dinner time. How anyone could call it abnormally expensive is beyond me. Beats the local opposition hands down on price and quality.

We have been searching for a good Chinese Takeaway for over a year since our previous one closed for business. At long last I think our search is over! The quality of the food was excellent & very reasonably priced. Don't know how or why we didn't know about this place before now. Looking forward to working our way through the extensive menu.

Put simply it's the best takeaway place in the area, the food is always great. Have been using sims garden for years now. Much better than the other Chinese takeaway places in the area.

My whole family use this Chinese takeaway for year's. Their food is never a let down and great value. I quite often phone in order and then pick up. Always ready for me getting to them. Would recommend them.

I have been going to Sims garden for about 10 years now and thought it was time to let everyone know how good the food is. The reason i return and go to no other takeaway is that they are consistent in the quality and taste of the food. If they weren't i would not go back. I'm off there now.

I am probably very biased but this is in my opinion the best chinese restaurant around! The food is so tasty. No matter who I advise to eat from this restaurant they all love it. I usually order from here about once a week, I'm pretty sure the woman who works there knows my order by heart!

food good,staff friendly,prices keen,choice great,will def go there again the place is very easy to get to,since its just up the road from morrisons,the decor could be better,the parking is a bit of a bother st time,but persevere,its worth it
