I-Chai Express (Anniesland) in Glasgow City

Normally decent, so tonight they have had a system melt down. Order says it delivered, no answer on the phone, taken my money, no food. What a joke

Rice was terrible, stuck together in hard balls like it had been lying out

We both really enjoyed all our food and the quick friendly service. The king prawn HK style was delicious as was the chicken and mushroom. The satay sauce was spot on, it wasn’t too runny or thick. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The premises is very modern and has a well designed interior. For takeaway the packaging and branding is excellent. We will definitely go back. The restaurant a long the road looks great too. I’d recommend a couple of drinks in Lock 27 then get a i Chai to take home.

Food was great! Me and my partner finished late at work and decided to try out this take away for the first time. My partner is lactose intolerant so it was nice that on the touch screen ordering menu, all allergens are listed. It was Friday night so we were worried about having to wait a while after we ordered but the food was ready soon. Ordered king prawns in black bean sauce, fried mushrooms, spring rolls, chow mein, tofu and black bean sauce and chips. All really nice!

Ordered take away at 257 pm , had to phone them and they said driver doesn’t start till 4, shocking website and communication

Best advice avoid food was horrible over cooked to much salt as well

Absolutely fantastic salt and chilli chicken fried rice curry sauce prawn toast everything was roasting hot amazing portion sizes can't wait to try the chow mein next time. Definitely recommend this place a thousand times over. Thanks I chai my new go to.

What's happened to portion sizes ordered salt and chilli combination and size has more than halved but price is the same not good ichai was always a regular here but think ill give it a miss now

We're regular customers at I-Chai Express, Anniesland and are usually very happy clientele. Unfortunately today our experience was not great. Part of our order was boiled rice, which is normally perfect. Today, however, it had a congealed consistency and came out in almost one piece. We contacted the restaurant and explained the issue. The employee there thanked us for our 'opinion', and she said she would tell the staff, but no solution was forthcoming unfortunately. A surprisingly, disappointing experience as normally the food and service are fantastic 🙌

This takeaway is called ichai express, I don’t think so you can wait as long as two hours for delivery and that’s on a week night.

Food was extremely cold the only thing hot was the curry sauce chicken balls and chips where hard and either overcooked or reheated, last order I make here as last couple of orders I’ve had from here have been poor

Item missing and instead of resolving the issue their default was to blame the Uber driver despite their sealed packaging.

Collection said would be twenty minutes went early was already in cabinet. King prawns chewy not many, chips reheats, rice not warm, curry sauce very salty and runny. Different staff than usual maybe Chinese New Year to blame usually good food.

One star review simply down to the complete fail to deliver reasonably on time. Food is now over half an hour late. Called the restaurant and they sorry and that’s it. Certainly won’t order from here again. Shockingly poor service.

A1 Singapore fried rice. Hot as lucifers tongue.

Take away Chinese food which is always brilliantly tasty and great value.

What a shame I have recommended this place to a few people as the food is normally really fresh and tasty . It is normally consistent even on busy nights ,tonight the food didnt seem as high quality or fresh and quite salty, really disappointed.

Although the taste is not similar to Korea, I am satisfied with both the quantity and taste.

Greasy food, I guess they not changing oils so often or using wrong temperature for cooking. Apart from cheap oils. Not impressed even all the competitors are worst that this guys

Normally would sit in but had a take out this time Food superb highly recommend and they have wee pagers that tell when your order is ready. 'very fancy'

This is first time ive had anything out of there that was not good the curry was bit salty and the salt in pepper chips had far too much salt on them.

Always well prepared and tasty options with a really good range of dishes. Great for collection or delivery and reasonably priced. Lovely staff and ask if you have any particular dietary choices.

Really bad experience staff very rude offered to replace food and never ever did

Best Chicken satay I've tasted and liked the fact that the sauce came separately.

Have only ever had takeaway, haven't made it to the restaurant yet! Food is always amazing! Staff are always friendly and chatty too.

Best Chinese we've had in a while, fast service, nice staff, and great atmosphere. Salt and Chilli Spring Rolls appetiser was delicious! Wonderfully crispy and spicy, my favourite spring roll I've had in Glasgow. We ordered the Hong Kong Sweet and Sour Chicken and the Chicken Satay (in sauce). Both were amazing, great flavour, nice and tender chicken, and good portion size. Would definitely visit again!

Ordered a carry out it arrived quickly and was delicious The lady who took our order was really nice and helpful We will definitely be going here in the future 5 stars 👍

Yeah pretty good, takeway not my thing but needs must as per previous review. Good food and well priced. Had salt and chilli chicken with a portion of fried rice Couldn't finish it so fair to say it was a good portion of chicken and rice, vegetables were good, properly stir fried and still had some bite Nice and spicy, I normally don't do takeaway but would definitely try again, one of the better Chinese takeaways I've had

Nice and friendly staff. I believe the most important side of any restaurant/takeaway is food. I would say it is very good but this would be an understatement. Definitely one of the best Chinese I ate.

I can't say I've tried everywhere in the vicinity, but from what I have tried and neighbours I've spoken to, this is the best Chinese takeaway for miles around.
