Great pub if you like traditional Glasgow banter and 35 ml measures.

My Family and I had the best time here on our recent trip to Glasgow. The bartender kindly let us put on an American football game. Drinks were delicious, and karaoke was extremely entertaining! I hope to make it back one day!

Great pub, one of the few places open for a pint at 8am every day except Sunday. Got Sky Sports on the TV to watch football etc. Don't understand the negative reviews, it's an asset to Glasgow and should be supported and cherished.

Love going in here with my uncle when he home from Australia he loves it it's his local when he comes home

Don’t be fooled by the narrow entrance, this bar is enormous. Lots of tvs and tables for sports fans and reasonably priced pints. If you are an Arsenal FC fan then this is your spiritual home in the north. NB Cash preferred Update: star removed due to condition of toilets. Need a deep clean or refurb. Not the best

I always pop in here when I have a bit of time. Staff always friendly as are the patrons. My favourite killing time bar in the top of the city.

Well, what can i say...welcome to Gary's world, 'personality of a toilet brush' 'bar skills of a cabbage'. Used to drink in here on Saturday afternoons on my visits to Glasgow. Mainly for horse racing and football. Haven't been back in 2 year because of the manner of this guy and the old blonde barmaid who seems to cover up for him. When will the management realize this guy actually costs them punters. there is a lot more to say but i wont waste my time

Pure Glasgow at its best. Not fancy, but fun bar, with no airs and graces. Karaoke on Saturday night was fun. Staff were nice too

This pub does the best pint of Guinness I've had outside of Ireland. Extra cold tap as well as a regular if you don't like it freezing. Bar staff really sound as well. Loads of other beers on tap too.

If you like your women to talk to you like home. This is the place to be because you can talk back to them. You can't get that if you have got a whatever you want to call them. Very safe.

Looks small from outside but don't be fooled as it goes back a fair way and also opens up. Good place to watch sports and large high definition TVs.

A great time had bye all due to the staff's efficency and manners,, nothing was a problem.

Fantastic night at the Karaoke . Chris the manager couldn’t have been more welcoming and Bernie the Karaoke host was phenomenal. She showed us the ropes and kept us right! Very friendly and fun atmosphere. We will be back ! Thank you

A proper Glaswegian sports bar. Very welcoming and serve a great Tennent’s lager beer.

Super herzliches und einladendes Personal an der Theke. Live Sport an mehreren TV-Geräten und Karaoke zu späterer Stunde. Manche Gäste sollten aber Gesangsverbot bekommen... :) Wir waren vergeblich auf der Suche nach Pubs in Glasgow, die Bundesliga übertragen, bis Alfie's Sportsbar uns extra das Spiel einschalten wollte. Aufgrund von technischen Problemen und etlichen Versuchen, haben wir WiFi bekommen, um das Spiel auf dem Handy schauen zu können. Wir wurden sehr freundlich verabschiedet und haben noch ein Whiskey Glas als Andenken mitbekommen und kommen gerne wieder!

What a pub! Early doors,just off the overnight bus? It’s open! Late evening for return trip? Open! And,the bonus-it’s a great place anyway at all times. Staff are excellent,beer-and prices!-superb,sports coverage outstanding. Volume is set so you can hear it,but not so loud that you can’t have a conversation.

Busy friendly reasonably priced pub

Second visit in this pub and have nothing I could complain about! Staff all friendly. Extremely greatful when I returned a tables worth if empty glasses. Sports on TV all day by the looks of it Drink reasonably priced. Nice pint of Stella. The mixers didn't taste watered down either in the vodka. Seating in the place is second to none when it comes to small groups. They have booth type seats that have a lot of space and a table in the middle. Ideal for small groups of upto 8 probably. 🐴

Over from Dublin for the match. In Alfie's three nights. Loved it. Bernie said she would get me singing. And she did. Thank you for helping to make it a great weekend ☺️

Stopped at Glasgow for a night bus transfer and went in to spend the two hours watching a football game. It was nice and cosy, big screens. I didn’t want anything alcoholic so asked for a lemonade, which I was offered for free. Really nice staff and friendly people. Would highly recommend anyone going.

Best pint when called for in the morning

Went in by chance for a quick drink before going to catch our bus. Had 2 drinks more and got the bus 1 hour later. Good pubs are hidden all around Glasgow on innocuous streets.

What a pleasant surprise of a pub. Not been in here in a long time. Nice cosy temperature when it's sub zero outside. Professional staff, good prices, good "background music" from my era at a nice volume. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

Nice pub been in here loads of times and highly recommend. Staff are very friendly there's always a good atmosphere especially at weekends where karaoke is on and always a good laugh. Pints are a bit pricey but I guess that's just going with the times now. Gents toilets could be doing with a freshen up that's only downfall for me.

I love this pub since before the name change. Only a few customers tonight but being a Thursday night that's understandable. Gary the barman was brilliant and seeing Arsenal win was great.

Great atmosphere n loads of TV's

Poor service, guess if you're a local they might take care of you. Asked for a rum & coke - it was all syrup - when we asked for another - bartender said it was fine. Save your time & money - plenty of other options with a welcoming attitude! Only way these people get good reviews is if they write their own!

Love this wee down to earth pub. Staff are lovely and a great pint. The only negative thing is when you go in ur not sure what time its going to close it could be 10, 11🙄🙄 understandably when quiet but the last night i was in there was a few about and they closed early soooo annoying when u just want to chill for few drinks.

Popped in here for a few pints yesterday, cracking bar and a cracking pint of tennents, with great tv screens also, also the staff brilliant, the girl who served me was lovely and very nice and made me feel welcome, think her name was Elle, will definitely be back

One of the worst experiences I've ever came across from any pub in Glasgow. I would give less than one star if I could but the don't do minus Stars. First when I came in u was greeted by a growling barman what I can only discribe as looking like lurch from the Adams family! Who basically grunted at me as he gave me my order. I thought ok guys having a bad day. I then go up to order a second pint to be ignored as he half heartedly brushes the floor. I wait until he's finished as I'm being polite, he knows I'm there as I see him glance at me! Another customer joins me, lurch doesn't care keeps head down "sweep sweep" A regular shouts him to inform that he has a paying customers waiting. Lurch grunts and nods to the costomer who was after me ''a real barman would know who was next' takes his order the loudly says PLEASE I think to imply that customer never said please, he did! Lurch goes straight back to brushing the floor as I stand waiting. " Pint of Tennent's when your ready please" says I Lurch grunts and stops brushing and pours a pint, half way through he loudly proclaims "PINT WHEN YOUR READY I LOVE THAT NO PLEASE" I'm shocked what's with the attitude? I said please the customer he served before me said PLEASE. I told him to stuff it and left will never be back. I would say avoid at all cost plenty of better bars close by.

Loved this place for years. Football, horse racing, karaoke in the evening until late. Brilliant bar staff keep it sensible. God bless Alfredo in heaven.

Excellent for watching the football with a nice pint of Stella. Not very busy but was early on a Sunday afternoon. Staff were lovely. Plenty of tv's with no reason not to get a good view and football and racing on side by side.

"Alfies" is a pub I've drank in semi regularly for years and in all those years it hasn't changed a bit...and I don't mean that in a good way. Basically it needs gutted and totally revamped, especially the toilets. If you like your pubs basic then this is the place. Not a bad pint, though far too expensive imo and no Wi-Fi?! I mean how many pubs nowadays don't have Wi-Fi? I would've given it 2.5 stars if that was an option tbh. Disappointed.
