Popped in here on our way to the airport from northumberland. The ladies who served us were so warm and welcoming. The scones were handmade and delicious. So sad this little gem isn’t on our doorstep because we’d be here all the time to chat and eat if we could

I have passed here many times but today was the first time I went for a coffee. Great coffee and cake however very noisy with dancing staff chatting and dragging dance mats through the cafe into the dance studios 😬 it’s ideal for dance mums waiting on their kids but not for a quiet coffee and chat

I came in yesterday at 9:55 AM and the two men were very kind and made sure my breakfast tasted very good I got a hot choclate and a bacon roll and I loved it , all other greggs don't make them as delicious as this location , I was working at my wee stall down the road

Have been going to friendlies for quite a number of years. Always excellent food. Staff always polite and friendly 😀. Live in Edinburgh and would not go to any other Chinese takeaway. Go to friendlies Dalkeith you won't be disappointed.

Great little pub free juke box on a Friday night and Saturday is karaoke. Food is good staff are all nice I would definitely recommend this place 100%

I love curry, and it upsets me that I feel compelled to write this review. I've had some poor curries in my time, but nothing on this scale. Two standard dishes - a dansak and a sag aloo - were so bland that I seriously considered that the chef had taken the night off and was replaced by GCSE cookery student, or it was some elaborate joke. How is it possible to cook a tasteless curry? Weak flavours, no richness, no depth. Very poor.

On Friday night I made an online order of 5 items through Just Eat to collect. On getting home I discovered only 3 of the 5 items were in the bag. Called to try and sort out and was promised a call back in a few seconds. Got the call back in 30 minutes. Didn’t offer to deliver but offered a refund on missing items which I refused and said I thought a full refund would be more in order. Was told only Nico could authorise but he wasn’t in and would call me next day. Nico didn’t call on the Saturday so I phoned to be told he’d been in but had now left and would call me on Sunday. No call back on Sunday. What a poor way to run a business. Won’t be using this place again and neither will anyone I’ve told.

Salt and pepper chicken hardly any meat in it and all batter not happy with order

Nice friendly place but very cheap ingredients . Noticed happy shopper ham ect in the glass cabinet also the haggis 1 paper thin slice on a roll is really bad if im honest for the price ! Menu is always the same never any new meals ! Open whenever the feel like it ! Deliveries take far too long !! just needs more orgonisation and better ingredients !! It could be a really good wee place if they just cared more !

ordered at 17:02 delivery was for 18:10, changed to 19:00-19:20. phoned at 19:38 and was told food was just leaving the kitchen, arrived at 19:49 freezing cold. in the microwave to heat up. Don't believe that ordering at 17:02 would make it a nearly 3hour delivery !!

Fast and friendly service. The salt & chilli chips are amazing 😍

Just popped in for a drink, place was really quiet,no atmosphere although they did have a music channel on the t.v which was good & helped a bit, very cold as well.
