Popped in here on our way to the airport from northumberland. The ladies who served us were so warm and welcoming. The scones were handmade and delicious. So sad this little gem isn’t on our doorstep because we’d be here all the time to chat and eat if we could

This Coffee Shop is great for homemade soup and light lunch options. Also a good selection of home baking on offer. It is small, situated by St Nicholas Buccleuch Church but it coped admirably with 7 of us when we arrived for a snack lunch. The volunteers were extremely friendly making us feel at home and it had a very relaxed atmosphere. This was not my first visit to this lovely coffee shop and the food on offer never disappoints. I had the Courgette and Cambozola soup- delicious. Lovely to see it open again for the summer.

My wife and I were walking through Dalkeith looking at the old church on High Street when we saw a little "Cafe" sign and popped in for a cup of tea and a scone. What a treat! We highly recommend a 20-minute stop-by if you need a little refreshment. The ladies who served us make the baked goods themselves and the atmosphere is wonderful. We then walked through the cemetery looking at the history of this area. You'd love it!

Ideal drop in coffee shop in the centre of Dalkeith offering an excellent selection of home baking snacks for morning coffee and afternoon tea. Light lunches also catered for with a variety of home made gluten free soups and bread, sandwiches, toasties and home made scones and cakes. Friendly welcoming staff who make everything fresh to order. Very reasonably priced. Central location in Dalkeith High Street next to historic Church.

A real hidden gem. The staff are really friendly and it's a lovely little place for lunch or a tea/coffee. The scones were brilliant! I'd happily come back here again

A wee coffee shop whose profits go to the church/hall community, friendly and relaxed, with home baking. You will hardly notice it is there except if visiting this old church - worth a look

A special chance to get a glimpse into a church community (& eat a small inexpensive meal). A tiny place where locals and visitors were eating when I was there.

A hidden gem in a lovely setting near Edinburgh. Friendly service, the best bacon rolls ever, delicious scones, cakes and traybakes, along with excellent coffee or tea and a variety of soft drinks. A bonus is the craft work on sale made by local artisans. Can't recommend it enough! Eliz

This place is much nicer inside than it looks from outside and was busy on a Wednesday lunchtime. We were given a warm welcome even tho we had not booked. Service was great, Cullen skink delicious, fish & chips did have quite a heavy batter. Would definitely revist when in the area!
