The best restaurants in Upper Braes Falkirk Central Scotland

Unfriendly waitress. A smile would help! Food is ok but overpriced. Toilet facilities were awful. They should be regularly checked and cleaned. Why they changed to men sharing same facilities was a big mistake.

Wet pub, no food. Friendly staff and genuinely friendly locals too. Nice selection of well kept beers, plenty of TV screens for sports, evening entertainment on certain nights such as Karaoke, DJ, etc.

Called to order a meal for collection, I asked on the phone if they took card payment to which the man on the phone replied no and hung up? Called back straight away as I thought there had been a mistake, I said I think you maybe hung up on me to which he replied ‘i don’t take card payment’. I said if you had let me finish the first time I was going to say ‘that’s fine I’ll lift money on the way’ but will take my business elsewhere. Really strange conversation and have never had that issue in the past, although that was the first time ordering in a while so clearly something has changed. Really rude encounter and don’t understand why you’d want to hang up on a customer for no reason?

Visited as a birthday celebration for grandparents, parents and 5 year old. The servers were beyond excellent. We had two servers, the first a young female (she upsold a fruit shoot!) and when her shift ended the young man that took over was charming. - he even managed to explain why all the phone alarms were going off at different times. The service was faultless and the food was excellent. We had a wonderful visit and will be back. Thank you for a great birthday meal.

Went to the garden centre to look at the Christmas decorations with a friend, usually well worth a look. We then went for a coffee & cake. The cafe was busy, though it is self service, we were served quickly, but the girl serving did it with such poor grace it left a very poor taste. I think the blame must fall on her training, anyone going into that business has to be told simple manners and a smile make all the difference between a lovely or an average or a bad visit for the customer & their decision to make return visit. Also, while we were there, a person, possibly a kitchen porter wheeled a shopping trolley of dirty kitchen equipment through the middle of the cafe tables, dragging a chair out of the way that had been moved to allow access for a wheel chair into a table. This was done not just once while we were there!

Do not order there salt & chilli chips very disappointing. Rest of order fine, never had any issues before but would not order these again, literally salt & pepper that’s it!!

Delivery wrong pizza, far too greasy. Delivery time was 30-50 mins. Delivered in 1hr45.
