On Saturday, May 20, 2023 we were on our first day out of Dublin with our rental car. We were looking for The Dark Hedges but could not locate it on our in dash car GPS. So we stopped here for directions. We asked to use their private WiFi so I could look up directions n my phone and they kindly obliged us. This small place was quite busy with people eating breakfast. They also sell quite a nice assortment of pastries and fresh baked bread. The lovely aroma of the bread made us decide to buy a loaf. Thanks so much to the friendly staff here in helping out a couple of strangers. I highly recommend anyone traveling in this area to stop in. Very nice place.

The list of flavours on the wall of Andrea's milkshake shop in the Shankhill Road is bewildering and hilarious. No wonder it's the No1 stop for thirsty schoolkids, and grown-ups who love shakes. Blue Millions, Kinder Stick, Turkish Delight, Wispa, Munchies, Kit-Kat, White Bueno... it goes on and on. Many are simply chocolate bars zizzed up with mil and ice cream, but your every craving is catered for. My bride went for a Raspberry Ruffle, which included coconut and raspberry syrup. It's a bit of a solo operation, so you have to be patient at busy times. But it's well worth the wait. This is milkshake heaven.

Got a chicken curry, spring rolls and beef in black bean sauce! DELICIOUS! Awesome to see a Chinese takeaway that packs out it's meals with ALOT of vegetables! 😍

This is a bit away from the center, so not a tourist spot. Instead it attracts people from the neighborhood. Large selection of freshly baked breads, pies, pastries along with sandwiches and hot breakfasts, lunches and snacks. Everything is homemade. Everything is also available as takeaway.

Vanilla boxx is so amazing, I just had to add to trip advisor. Ashton and her small team produce the .most amazing treats. Yes a little more expensive than some, but boy do you get what you paid for and more. All tip quality ingredients and massive bakes. Vanilla boxx is definitely Nnot just another bakery. Be it flake brownie, biscoff millionaires, lemon drizzle, oreo cookie pie for sweet treat, overnight oats or protein balls for the more health conscious they have it all. They also do dessert night at Weekends and special occasion boxes for for valentines/ mothers day/ fathers day and possibly graduations, although if not I imagine they will y when they read this review. You can order via the app and they offer local delivery at weekends. Many have tried to copy but never bettered.

If your going to order food, you have to try the southern fried chicken. It is fantastic, definitely the pick of the menu. It is home made and whatever way the chef makes it, it is delicious, not too spicy but lots of flavour and very juicy. The nicest chicken fillet burger you will get locally. Service is always quick and the girls who work there are friendly. It’s takeaway only, no sit in.

Rugby World Cup with the Walshs, great day and free beer helps. Small local home pub that opens for Rugby, GAA and trad sessions.

Text: Staying in the area with friends who recommended it- otherwise wouldn’t have known a restaurant at a golf club was open to non members. Place was very quiet for a Saturday night but that meant we had the best service. Bariş was attentive and humorous. The young waiting staff were professional and polite. 4 portions of sea bass were ordered and cooked to perfection, as was the chicken and peppercorn sauce and the cauliflower tikka masala. ( which was the only vegetarian option- more needed). 2 deserts ordered and the diners were very happy.( Creme brûlée was amazing… but I only managed to pinch a couple of spoonfuls)Drinks and shots also good, and everyone’s choice available. The bill too was reasonable. Overall a very satisfactory meal and I’ve already recommended it to family who live not too far away.
