Great variety of food served at this restaurant. Fresh and great quality. Very reasonably priced and the customer service from the staff is 10/10. They also cater for events. I have placed orders for meetings at my office and all those attending the meetings always ask for details on where the food was ordered from. Delicious and can’t be faulted. Kind regards, Sinead Dodds

me and my fiancé decided to dine in this authentic argentinian wee eatery in newry after great reviews on the socials. Our excitement was at an all time high only to be brought down so swiftly. Negative aura points. My FEMALE fiancé (i’m a girl by the way) ordered tacos assuming they would be hard only to find them as soft as her last relationship. This was falsely advertised and disgraceful because the menu gave us the idea of a concept of a hard taco yet there was no hard taco to be found. As for me i ordered the vegeta quesadillas, if I myself could rate this it would be under 9000, allegedly meant to be a mexican fiesta in my mouth, however it makes me regret ever attending this function. The jarritos were exquisitely well done though, this redeems everything, would recommend Maya Cafe to all you Newry folk.❤️

Amazing restaurant. I had an epic burger. A vegan home made spicy beans on sourdough with avocado for the missus. She was delighted, as were the kids. My eldest had a kids portion of the chicken curry and cleaned the plate. The coffees were really really good. The lemon meringue only lasted a few seconds. Will definitely be back. The staff were really friendly and helpful!

Myself and my wife went for lunch, yesterday the 7th July. We both had the fish supper meal and found it to be the best we ever had. So many restaurants, hotel's,cafe and carry outs tell you it's Cold,so many times we have been disappointed so we vote with our feet and don't go back are order something else This was diffently Cod at it's best. We sat in the front of the cafe beside bakery, the girl who served us was excellent,so nice to see someone who are pleasent and professional, also noted a young guy servicing and he was also excellent. No doubt next time in Newry we will return and will have no hesitation in recommending The Shelbourne. Keep up the good work. Chris & Jackie Bleary Portadown S

Well where do I start. Service terrible and rude. Didn’t seem like they wanted me to order. No smiles from the staff. Also no mention of it only being cash on the website. And wouldn’t let us order till we had cash. Bit strange in my opinion, did they think we were going to order and then run away? Also found a long hair/ maybe Pube in one of our burgers which was a nice touch to our meal. Also two burgers had no sauce, which made the burger dryer than the Sahara desert. They didn’t fancy offering any sauce for us to take with us either. All in all awful experience

I brought a Lemon Meringue Pie whilst I was in Castlewellen On Saturday supplied by Sunray Bakery, Whawhoo what can I say. This was the best Lemmon Meringue Pie that I have ever tasted. The Meringue was Super-Soft like I was eating a cloud and the base was really firm in texture and very yummy. The Lemmon filling was Super-Sweet and lovely and tingly on my tiung. I intend to go back to the Castlewellen Fuel Station this Saturday once again and I will differently be buying another Lemmon Meringue Pie from Sunray Bakery. Would very highly recommend Sunray Bakery Lemmon Meringue Pie. 5 Star Rating ....... Really sorry that I had not a proper photo of Sunray Lemmon Meringue Pie because I loaded my review after I had finished eating this very Lemmon Meringue Pie. In comparison I recently bought a Lemmon Meringue Pie from our local bakery The Cookery Knook’ who are based in Portadown, The meringue was very sugary to the point that I could taste each gradual of sugar in my mouth, the base was wet not firm and the Lemmon filling was very disappointing. I can’t praise Sunray Bakery enough for providing Northern Ireland with their very yummy Lemmon Meringue Pie. Thanks guys.......
