Amazing, food is fabulous 👌 highly recommend. Service was quick, food was so fresh, and tasted great. Open 7 days a week, I'd go back tomorrow

What a strange day. We’d arranged to meet a relation for a near 3 hour lunch. It was our fourth attempt to meet and eat but life kept getting in the way. We opted for here because the menu is pretty decent, the coffees are darn good, it’s cosy, parking is hassle free, there’s no phone signal and the welcome is always friendly. It’s one of the places we took our friends from California last April and they were mucho impressed. We all had the same lunch - three open prawn sandwiches - exquisite north east Atlantic cold water prawns on wheaten bread and a cocktail sauce (sadly with no brandy added). There were 2 cappuccinos ordered and I had a flat white. The craic was mighty as our relation had recently visited China, Singapore, Australia and he regaled us with stories of his six week sojourn, so much so that another round of coffees was needed. He would not return to China. So what made it strange you may ask - all the while my mind kept niggling at me as another relative was very ill and we knew the end was near so as we went our separate ways from our long lunch out into to minus 3c we had decided to just go home but the niggle niggled. So we instead drove to see our ill relative. We were with him just 40 minutes when he passed, so peacefully, surrounded by those who loved him. We are sad but glad the niggle niggled.

We’ve been here a few times recently and it is consistently excellent. Four of us dined. My wife and I had the open prawn on wheaten bread and it was really tasty food. The key ingredient is cold water prawns - not the plump, not a lot of taste warm water things - wonderful fish from our cold North Atlantic. My wife and I got a portion of chips between us and they are so tasty good because they are proper made on the premises chip shop chips. It’s rare to get proper chips as a lot of places now buy them factory frozen or chilled and they are nowhere near as good ever. I got a great tasting flat white too. I’d thought about the fish & chips but at £15 it has to be no. Now if tea, bread and butter was included it would seal the deal. The staff are ace friendly too. We brought two American friends on a previous visit a month ago who’d never been in Ireland before and they were genuinely well impressed - one had a full Irish breakfast and the other had an avocado based breakfast. They have a friend where they live in California whose ancestors hail from Camlough so that made it a bit more fun for them sending pictures from the old sod as they say. It’s a wonderful world.

In the centre of Camlough a busy village outside Newry. Quite a big cafe. I only stopped in for a coffee and see the place whilst I was in the area. Menu is basic with lot of sweet stuff Prices OK. I want to try it soon for a meal. Very busy place. Clean and staff fine.

I was in Rostrevor for a weekend and someone recommended this place for food. I have to say it wouldn't be a place I naturally pick but I am so glad they did, the menu is your typical pub grab but there was nothing typical about the quality of the food and the price. I actually had an all day fry and someone else had the loaded fries another person had the the brie tart and the chicken Goujons, we all licked our plates, all the dishes were delicious 😋 the portion sizes were just right, tasty and filling. If I ever go back to that side of the country, I'll definitely dine again. Now I can't say much about the customer service because there was none but when your food is that good, you have to excuse some bad days😉
