Sunray Home Bakery in Newry and Mourne

I brought a Lemon Meringue Pie whilst I was in Castlewellen On Saturday supplied by Sunray Bakery, Whawhoo what can I say. This was the best Lemmon Meringue Pie that I have ever tasted. The Meringue was Super-Soft like I was eating a cloud and the base was really firm in texture and very yummy. The Lemmon filling was Super-Sweet and lovely and tingly on my tiung. I intend to go back to the Castlewellen Fuel Station this Saturday once again and I will differently be buying another Lemmon Meringue Pie from Sunray Bakery. Would very highly recommend Sunray Bakery Lemmon Meringue Pie. 5 Star Rating ....... Really sorry that I had not a proper photo of Sunray Lemmon Meringue Pie because I loaded my review after I had finished eating this very Lemmon Meringue Pie. In comparison I recently bought a Lemmon Meringue Pie from our local bakery The Cookery Knook’ who are based in Portadown, The meringue was very sugary to the point that I could taste each gradual of sugar in my mouth, the base was wet not firm and the Lemmon filling was very disappointing. I can’t praise Sunray Bakery enough for providing Northern Ireland with their very yummy Lemmon Meringue Pie. Thanks guys.......

lovely hard bun they where like rocks I near broke my teeth you should definitely try this place I had a lovely cup of tea with no milk I was amazing I would highly recommend

Sunday was our place to go for a long time. When our friend told staff, there was a hair on her food, she was told "it must be yours". Our friend has black hair, the one on her plate was blonde.

Es como estar en un café país. Todos ellos grita el uno al otro y los clientes con la familiaridad. Incluso sé que mi perro cuando me llaman de madrugada en el extremo delantero que vende los productos de panadería. El café es peligroso y grub listo presupuesto y no el truco. Parece haber un montón de clientes habituales. Me gusta visitar para patatas fritas o rollitos de salchicha o sopa, etc.

Corto una mejor Fry dulce en la ciudad y excelentes precios. El personal está siempre a la pelota. Siempre es agradable para pasar el final de panadería después de una buena alimentación

En el Sunray donde he estado yendo durante años se obtiene una genuina bienvenida del personal encantador aquí que saben que sus clientes y tratarlos como "familia". Los precios están muy bien aquí y puedes conseguir un frituras o simplemente judías o huevos revueltos en tostada ... o en el bar de ensaladas, o el plato del día, o simplemente un bollo y café. También hay un gran 'niños comidas' que realmente no se dieron tan barato en ningún otro sitio para lo que te dan, incluyendo el amable servicio. Yo clasificaría como el más amable, más sensato cafe por la 'habitantes locales' en Newry. No es extravagantes o lujosas, simplemente 'sin lujos" pero es la gente que lo hacen ... que nunca he visto a alguien que usted conoce aquí, o alguien que usted no't know incluso que tendrá una agradable charla contigo! Está lleno de repetir, clientes regulares que habla por sí mismo. En cuanto a la panadería hay mucho en oferta y fantástico pan y muchas bollos y pasteles en especial al final del día. Siempre me he mantenido durante mucho tiempo que éste es el más simpático CAFÉ en Newry! Bien hecho a todo el personal.

The Sunray bakery is a great little place that some would miss because it's so small. But they do 10/10 fries and always have done. The staff are friendly and would have the craic with a plastic bag if they could! Would prefer their lovely buns over any other bakery in newry too. Been going there since I was small and I'll take my kids too.

Went here to order a 30th Birthday cake & stayed for snacks...small meal was delicious, staff were kind, efficient and well attired. Everywhere was clean & having ordered my cake for the following week-end ...i was happily on my way. Gary then e-mailed me to ensure I forwarded the photo I wanted on the said Birthday Cake, note, without his kind reminder I would have forgotten.Cake was both delightful to look at and to eat. Absolutely love the fries in Sunday!! Absolutely gorgeous and perfect for a miserable day, when I'm looking something tasty and filling. The staff are so polite aswell and always stop to have a chat. Small place but moves quickly enough, will defiantly be back - I've been going for over 4/5 years :)

I was starving and fancied a late brekky. Had saw the 3.75 offer. One sausage. One bacon. One egg. Beans. Half soda and one potato bread along with small pot of tea. All round good. Breads home baked and fry tasty. Now its not an up market a la carte place but a friendly inexpensive workers type cafe. Recommend it. Got some apple pancakes to take away. Keenly priced. Tasted good but little apple involved. Still nice.

Great selection food at very reasonable prices! All day fry for only £3.75 which includes tea or coffee. Soup and sandwich combo or daily dinner special all for under £5... Very homely atmosphere and great craic between staff and customers! A bakery at the front of shop for fresh bread, scones and buns...
