The best hot chocolate ever. We got the pistachio hot chocolate and it was 10/10. We also tried the pistachio ice cream and that was delicious.

Place is very nice and the service is spectacular.

Came in with my partner and girls and we got individual 1 scoop cups of kinder bueno, pistachio and raspberry ripple ice cream. My partner got a banana hot chocolate topped with squirty cream that tasted like vanilla ice cream and crushed caramelised peanuts on top. The ice cream were lovely and creamy and the flavours weren't overpowering so it wasn't sickly. We were served by Romana, she was very polite and friendly especially to my 3yr old who couldn't quite see the counter so she waited until my partner picked her up so she could watch her ice cream being scooped. Great service, great product, reasonably priced. Definitely somewhere to stop off for a sweet treat!!! 10/10

We drank pistachio almond hot chocolate. It was very yummy. It would be great if we could sit and enjoy but this cafe has no seating just take away. Pity. That would be great

Absolutely delicious! Hidden gem in an unlikely spot in Castle Court. The mocha and hot chocolates were better than better known chocolate brands in town. Great selection of chocolates to buy. Nice team

The woman serving us, Romana, was incredibly helpful and explained the prices and deals very well, and helped us finish off last minute Christmas shopping. Chocolate was just incredible, the milk chocolate tasted incredibly smooth, the peppermint was flavourful bit not overpowering, and the price was well worth it. 10/10, well worth the journey.

Heard about this via TikTok and had to visit. We came in with our wee pup and the service and atmosphere were just lovely. The chocolates and the hot chocolates were honestly unreal. We will be returning again for sure!

Went for Mocha and ordered special one with dark chocolate (melted). Best decision! Blends well with richness of coffee! I don’t like sweet coffee, that’s why ordered mocha with dark chocolate! Rich, aromatic mocha, loved it! Will go again to try mocha with white and milk chocolate. And loyalty program helps with special order! Do join 😉

Called in today and got the pistachio hot chocolate! Absolutely incredible! So tasty! Unfortunately I didn't get the name of the lovely girl who served us but she was so friendly. This place is a must for a wintery treat or their amazing ice cream. 🤗

Great hot chocolate & staff are cool

Scrambling to find one place serving an ice cream or sorbet on a day where seemingly everyone's ice cream machines were broken or out of ice cream, we were surprised to find this wee nook downstairs in Castle Court. The ice cream was beautiful but I was impressed most of all by the service and the lady behind the counter's wonderful approach to talking with my wee tot and he enjoyed it just as much. 5 stars!!

Spotted taste of Belgium on Instagram and thought i would pop in ... I was not disappointed i had a fantastic Coconut hot chocolate it was absolutely delicious !!!!. I will be supporting this local business and will be back to get some Christmas gifts .

I visited for the first and probably last time over the weekend to try their chocolates ahead of Christmas and what a disappointment. First they’re very expensive chocolates for what they are (filling is half or even less full) and the taste is just not there. I’ve had tested countless chocolates from Belgium and those are just off. There’s no balance - some chocolates’ flavour is just overpowering and others you would even wonder what was the flavour since you can’t taste anything. On the business side: not displaying prices is not a great idea in my opinion and being welcoming would probably help building a better image.

Well worth a visit for a pistachio hot chocolate but pretty expensive over all and could do with more staff only one work on when we called and lengthy queue.

Visited for the first time expecting a basic hot chocolate, but recieved the best drink I've ever had. So sad there isn't one where I'm from. Staff were so nice and helpful too.

Called to Castle Court last week specifically to try this place. First impression was extremely poor, shop was completely empty and by that I mean it was also empty of any staff member who presumably was out the back which doesn't exactly create a good first impression. Secondly I was very underwhelmed by the selection and variety of chocolates available which all seemed a bit basic and as prices as well as staff where unavailable to ask, I left. Can't say I'll be in a hurry to rush back. The previous Thorthans was so much nicer.

I had two of the best hot chocolates I have had in a long time in the Taste of Belgium Castle Court store. First I had milk and then came back for a banana one. There is a great selection of flavours to choose from and I highly recommend the banana flavour. The staff are so friendly and professional and the chocolates taste great too.

Really nice place for something different in the area. Actually good tea which is hard to get in the area. The chocolate is of course great. Had a waffle with ice cream. The girl managing the place is very welcoming and gives great service Cafe is small and relaxed. Go give this place a try much better than big chain coffee places. Cheaper and better quality.

Was quite expensive for what we got, £28 for a tea, latte, hot chocolate and 2 little half cups of melted chocolate with a small handful of banana pieces each. The chocolate tasted amazing but it’s just very expensive for what it was. The atmosphere was lacking, we were the only people in there and the one staff member kept disappearing so we were literally in the place alone, quite strange. I probably wouldn’t go in again because of the price and lack of atmosphere even though the chocolate was amazing everything else was bog standard, not worth it tbh.

Not only was the chocolate absolutely amazing in every form we tried, the atmosphere here was so peaceful. Only real way to describe it is perfect.

Just Devine! My daughter had hot chocolate (made with their own melted milk chocolate) and hazelnut cream waffles with melted chocolate…WOW! I had a flat white which had the option to have melted chocolate in it, of course I said yes to that…it was delicious and the chocolate didn’t overpower the lovely toasty/nutty coffee beans. They make their own truffles which are also delicious. Highly recommend this cosy little place.

Only discovered this place recently. Staff are excellent always served with a smile. And the desserts are beautiful. Unbelievably good Chocolate and the waffles are fresh and crispy just the way I like them. Nothing else like it in Newry.

To die for if you're a chocoholic. Quiet , peaceful atmosphere with lovely, attentive staff. Walked in, browsed the menu and they were with us straight away. Everything was perfect. Waffles are so light and delicious and perfectly balanced the heaviness of the chocolate and ice cream. Would happily make the 1hr drive back again soon!

The taste of Belgium truly is a taste of Belgium, with its very own chocolateer and with its own chocolate factory above the cafe itself. Great chocolate and great range of products to try. This place has a small child's corner for the kids for the parents to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The place has a comforting and warm feel, just like it chocolate. I would recommend anyone to try this hidden gem within' Newry.

This place is the real deal. Unbelievable quality. We couldn’t believe when we heard they were open late during week! Mocha and cappuccino were a 10 out of 10! We’re not in Newry often, but we’ll be back every time we are!
