The best restaurants in Shimna Down South Eastern NI

Absolutely awesome 🤩 we had a few small plates to get a good feel for the variety of the menu and WOW! My personal fav was chicken parfait but every single mouthful was heaven. I hope this restaurant gets awarded a Michelin star it would be well deserved ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ will defo be back HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I recommend the pancake stack it is first class you should go and try it out sometime and the staff are so friendly and helpful and kind and good crack

Bake fresh scones and traybake every day open from 10-3pm Wednesday - Saturday. Great for children have a play area and outdoor seating. Great coffee and tea great value highly recommended

Having visited Graphite about a month ago we were super excited to visit again, oh what a mistake the menu had changed and so had the quality of the food. We were extremely disappointed, I have since found out the previous chefs have left and this is obviously the reason. We would certainly not return.

Called at cafe on wed 4/12/24 with friend and had the" Brunch" on the menu and a tea for 2 .Great service friendly staff and the place had a nice ambience,Neal was beautiful and reasonably priced would recommend highly .

I loved this cosy cafe. I had their Cruffin (was yum), English Breakfast tea and Mocha (was good). The staff were very friendly. Though it had a small menu, they didn’t had everything shown in google but was close to Newcastle bus station and the beach.

Had lunch at Doc's with my Wife and her friend. We all had fish and chips, the girls had small portions, I went for the large portion. The food was delicious, the three of us really enjoyed our meal. We didn't have long to wait for a table, it's a very busy restaurant. The service was quick, the staff were friendly, professional and helpful. There was a lovely atmosphere, the restaurant itself is well presented and clean. We had a great lunch and looking forward to returning. Thank you for a great experience.

Presentation of the dishes were very impressive, one of the best I've seen actually. Unfortunately every dish especially the Sea Bass was very salty. It's a pitty because the ingredients were very well put together and I would have no doubt that without the salt over powering the flavours the food would have been 5 star +. I own a restaurant myself and food that salty would be not go down well with my customers. The staff were very nice and the ambience was very relaxing. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant due to the fact that my friends and associates are all high flyers who are used to the best of the best. I may try this restaurant again in 6 months or so to give it a 2nd chance. Maybe I just got it on a bad night, it happens. However, consistency is the key to any great restaurant.
