Family meal out with a group ranging from teens to 70+ so finding something for everyone can be hard. Two of our group had steals and said they were nicest they had eaten in our entire holiday in NI. Nice veggie meal too - watermelon and hallumi salad. Plenty of space in the restaurant and they were so attentive to our needs - even turning the music down to accommodate those harder of hearing. A lovely evening out.

The meal was lovely. We went in for brunch and the menu had all the usual choices but each with a twist. I would recommend the french toast! They've got a good selection of toys for the younger children and my son throughly enjoyed himself. It's a big place so can accommodate plenty of people.

Went for breakfast with a friend recently. The staff were attentive and very friendly from start to finish. Our poached eggs were cooked perfectly and our coffee cups topped up several times. Added to this the beautiful decor and relaxed atmosphere, we look forward to returning to sample the lunch and dinner menus!

Beautiful cosy restaurant well worth a visit. My friend & i both went for the burger. And boy was it big...delicious & home made. The meal came with home made chunky chips & side salad which neither of us could finish. The staff were friendly and nothing was an effort to them. One small hint though...Don't eat here unless you are really hunger lol.

Its great to find someplace in newcastle that serves great coffee and cake AND where you can also get a glass of wine. My mother had a lunch which was delicious. I've been in for coffees and wines. The staff are absolutely lovely. There is a play area for children. The decor is lovely and it's right in the buzzy centre of the town. Highly recommend.

Went in for evening meal.Staff were friendly .Menu had very poor choice for an evening meal. I had their fish chip and minty peas which the member of staff recommended and my wife had the chicken burger and chips. To say the food was disappointing would be an understatement .Chips appeared to have been reheated an hard.My wife complained when paying and spoke to the owner as she thought her feed back may improve standards but he seemed to think the food was fine and he liked it.Not for us.

Three of us called in for lunch. The room is bright and nicely decorated. On the walls is contemporary artwork which is for sale. Service was quick. I had couscous which was delicious and a very generous helping, my companions had a toasted sandwich and chicken goujons and chips, the goujons were large pieces of chicken breast, freshly cooked. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. It's a really pleasant place to eat and I would highly recommend it.

I had not been to the Donard restaurant since it was called the PM but the new library was visited last week by my mum and other family. So we as a couple thought we would try it. Menu had usual choices. I got the special fish/chips/mushy peas and he got the burger. Well? U need to be hungry to go there. As the food arrived the woman who was leaving said she got steak and it was the best steak in a very long time. Our dishes did not disappoint- me nicking his onion ring and caramelised onion. It Looked lovely. I am not big into volume. Preferring nice good tasting food - craving for another course to see what would delight my taste buds! Lol. The service was great. Very nice approach and professional. To me - this just needs more people. The decor lovely. With industrial lights, stain glass and I/we loved the paintings. Leaving and going up the street, there was a Q out of another establishment - I was tempted to get out and tell them to go up the street. We went in the back way. Thru the 'patio' entrance. Which is lovely and welcoming. I believe a young fella has taken the restaurant over - loads of staff ready for u. so get in there! And I believe on a sunday there are 2 courses for 15£. I wish I knew that. But I will be back. Husband was happy as well and will go back.

Recently refurbed to a stylish, tasteful funky vibe, this is the place to watch in Newcastle. They are bringing a healthy menu with innovative recipes to usher in another era in dining out. Newcastle sorely needs such a restaurant with its proliferation of the usual deep fried, boring choices in their cafes and restaurants. But you can be naughty. Their carmel chocolate squares are nowhere else to be found and not to be missed! Add to this extremely reasonable pricing and it blows away the competiton.

This is my kinda place the decor is amazing stylishly chiic. I had a mouth watering vegatables pesto noodle dish that was cooked to perfection. They have a vegan option and gluten free soup of the day which I willl try next time for sure. I hope theye start serving vegan burgers soon as this would be a plus for Newcastle as I have asked most places and no joy. One more thing was my dish was not exspensive compared to Percy French's so this place will please the pocket.

After waiting in line in the queue of 5 for about 25min someone eventually decided to take my order, the pleasant lady couldn't sell me an adults portion of fish bites but had plenty available for kids meals , the staff seemed overwhelmed by actually having customers in the shop , service was very slow & staff wouldn't take an order until one had been completed even though there was plenty of staff milling about, overall not a great experience waiting in the cold. Once I collected my food it unfortunately became worse, the chips were cold not even warm enough to melt the cheese & everything was super greasy, very disappointing I wouldn't like to visit when it's actually busy.

What a delightful restaurant, doing a bit of a loop of the Co Down area, decided to go out to Strangford for a look-see. Quick Google and Artisan Cookhouse was top of the list! Went for the burger and fish and chips, both great. BUT the piece de la resistance was their peanut parfait dessert, a masterpiece! Very enjoyable, lovely staff and great value!

My wife and myself went yesterday for Sunday lunch. Good variety of dishes on the menu. My wife had brie for starter, she said it was perfectly cooked and delicious. For main course my wife opted for pasta and I ordered the roast beef dinner. The roast beef was lovely and tender, three big slices, with mash, roast potatoes, carrot and parsnips and then a bowl of roasted vegetables arrived. The staff were really helpful and attentive. Will definitely call again.
