Excellent cafe, went with family, had stacked pancakes with maple syrup, blueberries, and bacon. Fantastic. Going again next week will have the same.

We stayed in an air b&b round the corner and stumbled across this lovely little coffee shop. The pumpkin spice lattes we had were beautiful and the lady was so lovely we had to visit twice!

visited with family after walking around the local area. excellent food and coffee. service a little slow but they were very busy. I will come back. Reading other reviewers fixation about the local insect like is almost a joke. you are surrounded by by trees and farm land so expect insects otherwise stay in the city or would you prefer the use of DDT and agent orange to sanitise your visit.

Utterly utterly amazing!! On arrival we were greeted by friendly and professional staff and shown to our table. The decor is very nicely laid out coupled with the lovely views of the river. The menu has a good choice and mentions local suppliers. I went for the 8oz steak, and it was full of flavour, and my wife had the cheese burger, which she said was "out of this world." Great food, wonderful staff, and a stunning restaurant. Can't wait to try the Sunday roast soon. Keep up the great work 👍

It was staffed front of house by a lovely young couple of people. Very efficient and professional. Food average. Atmosphere relaxed, full of locals having a good time

El restaurante es una delicia. Paredes paneladas y lino blanco. El servicio es formal sin congestionamiento. Si usted no está acostumbrado a "buena comida" se le hará bienvenido aquí, pero vestir inteligente. Imprescindible reservar si las carreras tienen lugar en York, y probablemente también los fines de semana. La comida se prepara muy cuidadosamente. Esto es en la forma moderna, ligeramente precioso, con algunas pinzas y uno o dos puntos en el plato. Los mejores ingredientes. Es comida para ocasiones especiales y se ve divina. Es inteligente, imaginativo y seguramente requiere habilidad y trabajo duro para llevar el plato a la mesa. Nuestros postres eran impresionantes. Es más 'Masterchef' que Michelin. No hay nada malo en eso, pero una porción más grande del elemento principal en la placa de un plato principal podría ser mejor. Food is great so are the beers and quality wine list staff are so friendly- haven’t stayed in the rooms but was told by someone who had stayed they were very good.

This could be so much better with some little changes. The staff needed a broom up their backsides. My nut roast wasn’t worth the effort. You’re nearly there. Yorkshire puddings were amazing! Gravy not what I’d expect from up north. Train

Muy decepcionado, había 14 de nosotros fuera para una cena de cumpleaños, el servicio era miserable, sin sonrisas ninguna interacción... mi pollo y dos de los pollos de los niños era comestible ya que estaba tan seco, se lo mencioné educadamente a la camarera y me dijeron que se lo diría al chef y luego no escuchó nada hasta que vinimos a pagar y pregunté qué había dicho que le dijeran a otros que lo habían tenido y no dijeron nada... ... no fue una gran experiencia y siento decir que no recomendaría ☹️
