Excellent night's stop at "The Hawthornes" en route to the North East. Dee was a very welcoming hostess and even gave us a lift to the pub!! Room was very comfortable and well appointed and the breakfast was very good indeed. Highly recommended.
Paitre Grazing Tables did an incredible job for my dad’s 70th birthday! Linz was professional from start to finish, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. The grazing table was beautifully presented, the quality of the food was outstanding, and everyone absolutely loved it. The pricing was also very reasonable for the level of service and attention to detail. Highly recommend for any special occasion!
Called in for two Bacon sandwiches as we were in town visiting from the south coast.... in these Covid times the cafe is well set out..... great interaction with staff and top value food....... highly recommended
Had afternoon tea on the 12 November with a friend & it was lovely will definitely be ordering another one The lady was very helpful from taking my order to delivery
Recommended by a work colleague and made a reservation straight away. Was very quiet when we went, but it was still a lovely welcoming atmosphere.
The menu is short and all the better for it. Everything is fresh, homemade, and as authentic as you will ever get.
It doesn't have a licence to sell alcohol but we were told we could bring our own next time if we wanted.
Our food was delicious, and a tea with baklava finished things off perfectly.
Can't wait to go back . Wakefield's hidden gem!
My mum and I visited this gorgeous little cafe in Normanton. If you’re local to the area, it’s a great little spot for some brunch/lunch and the staff are all really friendly too. The menu isn’t huge but offers a good range of different options that are all very reasonably priced. The cafe is quite small inside but we didn’t struggle to find a seat.
We visited for breakfast. I ordered the banana on toast which came with peanut butter, maple syrup and blueberries. It was definitely the best banana on toast I’d ever had! Being local to the area, I’m surprised I’ve never been here before, I will certainly be returning!
I have walked past this place many times and wondered what it was like. I didn’t know they did take aways but they do so we tried one on Saturday night. We ordered lots of different dishes including their green curry and salt & pepper chips. It was absolutely delicious and everyone said it was one of the best take away meals they had ever had. We will definitely be ordering here again and I only wished I had found it sooner!
Went to a party here and they were really hospitable and couldn’t do enough for everyone. Since our visit we’ve booked our own party and again the owners have been very helpful and informative.
I am not a vaper but I love this place! The range of freshly ground and filtered coffee beans is absolutely amazing! And Les and Ann (owner and his Mum) are lovely people, as is their assistant, Liam. Les is self-taught about coffee beans and tobacco juicing. He makes some of his own juices for vaping and has an extensive range. We love to bob in for a coffee, complimentary Lotus biscuits and a good chinwag on their 3 person sofas.
I wish they would put a little cafe seating where the coffee is ground besides the seating in the vaping lounge.

Very reasonable pricing, with a friendly face and great chat, no sandwich shops in my area but this was the closest and will definitely be using again!
Our first visit (but not our last) to this new bar and restaurant. The chef did an amazing job producing 4 different meals with skill. All meals were top quality from t bone steak to pasta. It is a small gem in Wakefield that you need to visit to appreciate. Friendly and helpful staff and a personal visit from the chef helped make this an enjoyable experience- with cocktails as well.
