The best restaurants in Knottingley Wakefield Yorkshire and The Humber

I have walked past this place many times and wondered what it was like. I didn’t know they did take aways but they do so we tried one on Saturday night. We ordered lots of different dishes including their green curry and salt & pepper chips. It was absolutely delicious and everyone said it was one of the best take away meals they had ever had. We will definitely be ordering here again and I only wished I had found it sooner!

Excellent night's stop at "The Hawthornes" en route to the North East. Dee was a very welcoming hostess and even gave us a lift to the pub!! Room was very comfortable and well appointed and the breakfast was very good indeed. Highly recommended.

Fabulous food, Pizza, Burgers, Fries, Shakes more than delicious. Everything is freshly made. Lots of choices. Always served with a smile. The portion of fries can easily feed two people. I go there for my special treat at least 3 times a month.

8 quid lasagna and a 9 quid pizza, checked my change,been charged nearly £ 22.... thats twice,the pizza wasnt as good as normal either,, thats the last time

As requested my cheeseburger had no cheese,I also had chips and it was very nice.Very tasty.There was refillable drinks.

For a local quality family run restaurant with traditional and English cuisine available , GAF'S in Knottingley takes some beating . Very competitive , food is fabulous , and nothing seems to be too much trouble . And it you can't fi d a babysitter , children are welcomed by friendly staff too . So why not give it a go ?

Have to say that this place is a lovely and friendly place to eat in. Inside is clean and tidy, bright and welcoming. We took advantage of the mid week offer for a 3/4 course meal for about £20 each. Food was well cooked and very tasty, maybe not as hot as i would like from a spice angle but, nonetheless it was very nice. Waiter and front of house were friendly and it is worth mentioning its a CASH ONLY place so will need to go to the bank before. Its also an alcohol free unless you take your own with you. all in all a great evenings meal and very much will be going back.

Just arrived The steam packet and entered correctly around the back were there are tables set out. We was greeted by a oversized large Bald obnoxious landlord he wasn't friendly or welcoming. he was swearing and was obnoxious knob head. We won't be drinking here again

We went out for a meal,3 of us, seen the reviews and had to give it a try, walked in and was seated immediately by the friendly waiter Atif, had been given complimentary poppadum's and pickle tray, crispy and chilli dip bang on. Was given options on what to order was given 2 mix kebabs,ch/meat karahi,pilau rice,2 fresh garlic naans. Starters stood out to me were the lamb chops, absolute to die for, naans were soft, curries had a rich tomato gravy absolutely banging. Big up Waseem and Atif for the amazing meal.

Best fish and chips for miles around. Had it many times and they deliver great food and excellent service consistently. The spicy curry sauce is definitely one to try. Absolutely delicious.

I've been going to Hilltop for 12 years and I've never had a bad meal. The staff are lovely and very welcoming. Prices are still very reasonable.
