food is amazing here its a shame they dont do delivery they would make so much more money but still a great place even if you eat in or collet

WHY ISNT THIS PLACE PACKED 24/7??? Ordered a meal for myself and my husband this evening for collection and we were absolutely blown away with the quality of the food!!! We had the meal deal for two which was a steal at £24. First impressions on opening the box was outstanding. Such care was obviously taken when packaging the meals. Perfectly cooked chicken pakoras and a succulent, juicy mixed starter were stunning to say the least. A sublime chicken tikka masala and chicken jalfrezi followed, consisting of perfectly tender chunks of chicken breast amongst expertly seasoned sauces. Jalfrezi could have done with a touch more salt and my husband felt the masala sauce was a little on the hot side for him, but these are all personal preferences. Chipatis... Soft ... Tender... Melted in the mouth. Pilau rice... Expertly cooked with a slight hint of spice. Mixed pickle tray was heavenly and complimented the meal perfectly. Would definitely recommend and will not go anywhere else for my Indian fix from now on. Atmosphere rated at a 4 as it was a takeaway order and we didn't sit in the restaurant, although the decor and attentiveness of the team was excellent. 10/10 Leigh and Simon Capel-Sutcliffe.

Just got the meal deal for 2 to takeaway/collection. Great value, great service with a smile, lovely food. Looks like it would be a nice place to eat in. Be aware it's cash only.

Always a great night at Gaf's, a real local gem and one that needs to be supported as on occasion its not as busy as it should be. The staff are great and nothing is ever too much trouble, always friendly and engaging, making sure you enjoy your night. Visit a couple times through the year and the occasional takeaway but the best is our yearly lads Christmas/Baz's birthday night out, a rowdy group but the staff get involved and always join in the fun. See you guys again soon 👌🏼

For a local quality family run restaurant with traditional and English cuisine available , GAF'S in Knottingley takes some beating . Very competitive , food is fabulous , and nothing seems to be too much trouble . And it you can't fi d a babysitter , children are welcomed by friendly staff too . So why not give it a go ?

The menu advertised is their old prices! We have been eating here for the last few years, and has always been reasonably priced and the food is very nice. However, went for a meal last week and their prices have ridiculously shot up! We only had two main meals with 2 sundries, garlic naan and one popadom and it was over £35 and obv no drinks. I’ve paid less in Akbar Leeds. Put us off going again.

I didn't have a menu and it was my first time Ive ordered from here so I trusted the las on the phone Far from happy over charged by a fiver according to the menu Although the food was spot on I knew something was up when I asked how much and the reply was " about £20" on the phone funny enough it was £20 bang on when in fact I've noticed this morning it should of been £15

We ate at Gaffs on Saturday night and tho busy the staff and food were excellent. We both had the Fish sizzler and I asked for mine to be milder and they got it just right for us. We will visit again and if you like good food you will enjoy the clean well prepared restaurant helpful attentive staff and really good food.

An excellent place for a family to come and enjoy a 3-course meal. Good value, delicious food. Excellent service, friendly. Warm and inviting. Plenty of space for big and small groups. We were all very pleased. Thank you Gaf's!

Chicken and prawns frozen not fresh chicken chewy korma sauce was watery like soup onion barji very greasy and no taste at all sorry won't be returning any time soon

Great Curry house. Take your own drink as they aren't licenced. Four of us had the works. Poppadoms, Mixed starter for 4,various Curry's and breads. All spot on. Recommended.

Nice takeaway service good food, good prices

So so good! The food was outstanding quality, i had the chicken tikka balti which was beautiful marinated breast meat. The staff are lovely and the service is prompt. Definitely worth a visit. Thank you Gafs! X

Very sceptical about a visit to Gafs not being a lover of Indian food. When I say not a lover I mean I'm not a spice lover and very unfamiliar with Indian cuisine as a result of it. How surprised I was...the food is cooked to your liking and if you explain to the staff they are very helpful and talk you through the entire menu if need be. I had a starter I had never heard of before and it was beautiful. The main course I needed help with and didn't really want to order my usual chicken korma. The staff were great I put my faith in them and was served a whole host of mouth watering food. From pickle tray to dessert I can honestly say Gafs is now a firm favourite on my place to eat list. Very clean..nothing is too much trouble..not hurried. The staff are great. There's no great ceremony and you take your own drinks. Well done guys at Gafs you have converted me and I will be singing the praises of Gafs for a very long time and visiting on a regular basis now.

Food was ok and clean and modern. Bad things we waited a LONG time for food and some didn't come out hot and it all came out at different times. And you can only pay cash.

Lovely home made food to create a lovely buffet. Buffet on last Wednesday of each month but should be on more days. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff who take time out to talk to customers. I recommend a visit.

The meat was nice and tender but all of the currys was really spicy and they was meant to be mild, wouldn't return back again!

Not too bad, service was a bit sloppy but the food was decent & hot, no problems getting a table for 3 as the place was just about empty ( a Thursday night ) I'd give it 8 out of 10 !!

First time at this place and definetly won't be the last. Everything about this place is top notch from the entrance and greeting to the final course. Nothing is too much hassle for these guys. They are a pleasure to to visit. All the food was lovely and the Knottingley special was extremely good so too was the white chocolate chicken.

The service was slow, we had to ask 3 times before we got glasses and some of the drinks never turned up. They only brought out part of the starters until promoted. My meal didn't taste great but the two other members of my group enjoyed theirs. They don't accept card payments so prepare to have your whole party bring cash.

I went with children and had a long wait for food. The kids main meal came with our starters so they were bored when our mains came. No heat in the dishes we ordered.
