The best restaurants in Amotherby Ryedale Yorkshire and The Humber

My local. Karen did me the Venison burger from the specials board tonight(31/1/25). Arranged by B(Beatrice). It was a fantastic way of enjoying the pubs food at home. Not a fan of always sitting in pub for a meal so was a good way of enjoying home cooked food after going through the last 6 weeks mourning and reminiscing of a past that come around once a year. Also it's great to catch up with people I have gotten to know over the last 2 yrs. Thank you to Karen and Chris and B(fridays).

Great place to get a Sunday roast ,very enjoyable and very helpful staff

Booked last min for a NYE/Birthday meal. Very busy but good service and the food was excellent as always, 3 main meals and 3 sides did 5 of us easily, following a starter each.

Fabulous Sunday lunch the food was fantastic couldn’t fault it Yorkshire puddings the size of a side plate and lovely young staff all working hard .

Lovely food cooked fresh and hot. Very friendly staff in this lovely family run pub. My family go here regular and have tried most things on menu with no faults. Everything has been nice that we've had

it doesn't matter what time you order food it should always be eatable. orderd chicken about 11 it come cremated my tip is if you order chicken from here make sure its sooner than later ? the later it gets the more the chicken becomes dry thay think its OK to sell it

We had a really good experience here yesterday. Spent the day at Flamingo Land and chose this place for food as wanted something more substantial than burgers/hot dogs etc. Good beer and a lot of alcohol choices to have with the meal. I also thought that the drinks were good value for money for a theme park. We ordered: Mozzarella sticks Loaded fries (the chilli and cheese ones) Chilli Tacos Beef birria sandwich Kids burger and chips The portion sizes were great and the food was really tasty. Also good value for money. Loses a star as we had to ask for cutlery and then search for some ketchup. But overall, I would definitely eat here again on another visit to Flamingo land. Finn, the guy who served us was also very friendly.

Had an interesting tip of a place just outside Malton, North Yorkshire. The place was Woody's Tavern. I was unsure what to expect as it was quite hidden away. My first impression of the very much biker themed bar with it's motorcycle parts hanging from the walls was, it looked to be trying a bit to hard. There was at the time just myself, the landlord and one other patron a surly chap called Andrew. The landlord though not the tallest in stature was reasonably welcoming. There was a TV on playing some antiquated rock music. On the tables were nibbles, one of which looked a lot like mud i didn't like to ask and presumed it was some local dish. After a few drinks the atmosphere became quite pleasant, a change from the initial hostility. Not a bad place, will probably try it again sometime.

Anticipated, me and my friend entered the diner with high hopes. However, upon entering the “restaurant” we were directed towards a dingy, dirty side table which was coupled with flies and layers of dust?! Nevertheless we were starving, prepared to order our meal, well we were … ATROCIOUS, £12 and a whopping £13 for our burger meals. Hesitant, we continued and yet the process was difficult and quite rude as no one came to collect our order and we were forced to get up ourselves? After a reasonable wait, we received our “meals”. DEVASTATED, we looked upon our radioactive meals, comparable to the measly rustlers burgers one microwaves. Stale, cold, bland and simply vile, me and my friend stared in horror, nauseated as we attempted to digest this monstrosity. We entered hungry and left famished, sick, disappointed and on the verge of tears. DO NOT ENTER THIS FACILITY AT ALL COSTS IM WARNING YOU!!!

Avoid at all costs. Family of 5 totaling just shy of £80. All you can eat buffet but have to wait almost 30 minutes to get any food due to the terrible service. The food is arguably some of the worse I have had. Two options of dry stale tasteless pasta. The pizza was almost un edible. Luckily one of the managers arrived due to three other family's all complaining of the same thing. We received a full refund Luckily which allowed us to go elsewhere for lunch. Avoid this place like the plague.
