Had the cheese scone with rarebit topping - which was cremated and far too hot to eat and the weekend special / BLT on a Croissant, which came out extremely dry / bacon too hard and overdone. We have been coming to Mocca for some years now and a number of times the food quality was not to standard. Where not offered an exchange / refund or apology… Shame… we will not return

Stayed overnight in our Motorhome in the car park. Great little location no far off A66. £20 for the night which is credited to your food and/or drinks bill. Very welcoming, dogs welcome and excellent food and beer at a good price. The view is really breathtaking and we will certainly attempt to book in the next time our calendar/trip aligns. Space for 2 outfits.

The snack food we ordered was reasonable, although it did take a while to arrive. This seemed longer because of the almost total lack of atmosphere in the rather dowdy bar. There was a small group at the bar who didn't acknowledge us, and the person behind the bar behaved as if she wished we hadn't come in. Communication was limited and facial expressions were non-existent. The saving grace was that it is the only place for a lunch stop when travelling on the A66 nearby.

If you take the next left turn after Mainsgill on the A66 towards the Lakes, and carry on down the lane , through Ravensworth village, you'll come to the best farm shop cafe around. Great food, great friendly staff and easy to find location and parking. STONEYGATE CAFE & FARM SHOP. Whether for breakfast, lunch, brunch or even drive through takeaway you'll not be disappointed there. The all day breakfast will set you up for the day and I can personally recommend the french toast with crispy local back bacon and maple syrup. The burgers are grand too, as is the Sunday roast. All in all, you can't fail to be impressed. (For people reading this in the local area - please support a great local business and use the farm shop if not the cafe as well...you won't be disappointed. )

We won't be back here for breakfast..mine was awful...undercooked sausage, undercooked bacon..burned toast...husbands scrambled egg and salmon was ok but neither were worth the £10 plus each we paid for them. Even the toast and jam I asked for was burned toast and just a dollop of jam smeared in a paper cup thing. Don't bother with breakfast here its simply not worth it.

Fantastic food. Burgers are great. A new dish, chicken waffle was tasty too. Welcoming staff and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.
