Christmas Day lunch and couldn’t fault, all fresh food, hot , beautiful home made gravy, great family get together 12 of us , staff polite friendly and very helpful, we had 2 couldn’t make it and they made a take away dinner for us to deliver to them , they couldn’t do enough , thank you made our christmas Day !

We booked dinner, bed & breakfast,we were in a twin room a bit small but it was ok as we were only staying the 1 night.Dinner ,the food was amazing I had scallops to start ,they melted in my mouth ,hubby enjoyed his soup ,we both had steak as a main it to melted in your mouth .After a good night's rest we had a full Northumberian breakfast which was lovely & very filling .The staff were great & very attentive we will definitely stay again .

What an amazing venue and hostess!! I booked the outdoor space for our daughters 5th birthday and what a day we had!! We faced the possibility of heavy rain on the day but Emma had the whole space set up in preparation for it with all the sides down to keep us warm and dry. We arrived to beautifully decorated marquee with all seating and table decor ready and a second marquee set up as a dance space and party games. All we had to do was turn up with a cake!! The food was delicious and plenty of it! Emma's home made cakes are to die for! I don't the kids even got to taste the cakes because the parents couldn't keep their hands off it 🤣 I had nothing but compliments the whole day from all the guests who were blown away by how beautiful the venue is and how delicious the food was. We had a magical day and I would recommend Woodleigh and Emma to anyone!! I hope they have an influx of bookings after our day because it is thoroughly deserved. Thankyou so much for such a special day 💕

Not been for a while, popped in for Sunday lunch and the carvery was lovely, nice pint and food, the staff and the atmosphere was great.highly recommended.

We have ordered takeaway from here many times and the food is consistently exceptional! Everything is delicious and fresh. I would highly recommend!

Drove there because website said it was open to find it was closed. Get it updated it really puts you off. Its a terrible waste of fuel and time.

***UPDATE *** We tried the big Romanian combo, and the papanasi, honestly the best food ive had all year, hands down the best place to eat in Yorkshire, the littles and romanian sausages are just incredible, cooked so well and so delicious and juicy. This place is a must! If I could vote 100 stars, I would. The absolute best kebab I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve tried everywhere in Barnsley, and even Sheffield and Helen’s is unbeatable. The people that work there/ own it are also wonderful and polite people. Everything tastes so so fresh and the meat quality is absolutely premium and you will not find another food establishment in the area with kebab like it. Thank you again. Next weekend we will be trying more from the menu 😁❤️

Family run cafe, simple basic food. Good size helping,nothing too fancy. Good honest home cooking Huge full English breakfasts,great pie and peas.

Newly opened. (6th Feb2025). Called in for a Sunday lunch. Really good roasts All home made. Very tasty.! Big portions, and great value for money. They going to start doing a proper Sunday Carvery soon. Cant wait. Will be back.

We were just looking in the fabric shop and saw the sign for the cafe and as it was 13.30hrs we were told it may close soon so we decided to pop in for a snack. Made very welcome on our arrival and there was a reasonable selection of foods for a small cafe .the food was well presented and tasted just as good. Seems to be very popular with the locals and it was enjoyable to meet and talk with them
