The best restaurants in Yorkshire and The Humber

Great pub with plenty of seating and numerous big screens if you want to watch sport. Quick, friendly service and amazingly reasonable prices. Glad they don't serve food - stops it from turning into a creche, like so many other pubs in the area.

I've been here twice and as an Italian myself I can assure whoever reads this review that this place has one of if not the best chef in all of York. The food is excellent and everyone is incredibly nice, I think I'll probably be going back very soon. The specials are certainly the best part with the star of the show being the clams and mussels. I do recommend booking before going it can get busy sometimes.

food was not ediable,burnt items missing and absolutely swimming in water from scrambled egg.sandwhich bread was wet and took over an hour to come very dissappimting even more so when a breakfast and a sandwich was just shy of 30quid would not recommend i requested a refund and ordered a Greg's

Didn't stay but went for an evening meal. Can't comment on the accommodation. The food was delicious. Highly recommended.

We came to ponte vecchio as a big group for mother’s day and the food was lovely. The staff were very friendly, approachable and were happy to change a few things for us like have the calzone as a flat pizza instead. It was the best pizza i’ve had in a long time. The only thing I would say is that for kids I would’ve liked more drinks suitable for them, such as a capri sun or a fruit shoot? As we had to order them orange or apple juice and it came in a glass and it was quite dangerous for my 2 year old. Everything else was perfect thank you so much :)

Had our anniversary dinner here on a cold snowy night in December. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy and the staff were very attentive. Food was fantastic, the butternut risotto was the best risotto i've ever had. Sticky toffee pudding was an additional bonus.

Food was spot on! And the lads were really polite and was ready on time

We stayed in the Kariega room and we were so pleased. Private hot tub with a gorgeous view of the river and the room was delightful. Not far from Aysgarth Falls . Definitely worth a visit if you stay at Yorebridge. I could go on and on about how fab this place is. Love it !

Absolutely amazing evening, food was delicious!

Disappointed. Curry was extremely greasy, and there very little flavour. The poppadoms were also very oily. On the plus side there was a good amount of chicken in the curry and the nan bread had good taste. Overall very disappointing
