12 of us went for 6.30 pm dinner service good food all came out together and all hot. Everyone enjoyed the evening well worth been twice now and wii call in again, Lovely evening .

We booked Sunday lunch after reading reviews on here & we weren’t disappointed. My Wife thinks it’s over 12 months since she enjoyed a Sunday lunch out. Jayne was rushed off her feet, bless her, but attended to everyone in turn & never lost her polite composure. We both enjoyed the roast beef dinner with 7 different vegetables, all cooked to perfection, with Yorkshire pudding to boot. The portion was large enough that we were able to plunder our plates to save a dinner for our very well behaved dog for later. Jayne even gave us some extra gravy for the dog’s dinner. We then enjoyed the damson crumble with custard and I had their home made rum & raisin ice cream. With 2 drinks each & under £55, well impressed & will visit again when in the area.

Stopped in whilst passing as needed a pit stop. Wonderful welcome, great coffee and toasted tea cake. Prompt and friendly service. Would highly recommend.

The Anchor Inn organized the wake after my father's cremation. The staff were very friendly and everything was very well organized. The choice of food was good and the interior of the pub very comfortable for us at a sad time. Compliments to Simon and Lesley for the excellent service.

Had a lovely lunch with my mum,fish and chips were perfect.Kieran and Justine were very welcoming. The pub had a warm fire and was cosy ,also the dogs enhanced the experience.

Nice little place excellent food, especially the soup of the day. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day. Staff very friendly, the food amazing. Unfortunately our accommodation Room 6 was absolutely disgusting so spoilt our Christmas break. We did complain to the manager she wanted the photos to take the problems up with cleaner, but never view the room herself.
