Lovely Sunday roast. Could not fault. 5 ⭐️. Everything freshly cooked and very tasty. Staff friendly . Plenty of choice and lovely garden too.

Excellent food! We thoroughly enjoyed our meals at the Chequers which offered varied menus, cheerful staff & comfortable surroundings. Husband usually chooses belly pork if it’s on the menu and happily declared this was *the best* he had ever eaten. He also enjoyed the Fladbury Pie on our second evening. I had fish & pasta dishes, both were excellent. I would happily eat there again if I’m ever in the area.

Three of us stayed in two rooms for a long weekend. We had a warm welcome o arrival and our rooms though in need of a refresh were well presented, with a really comfortable bed, and quality bedding. There was a prvate function on the Friday evening when we arrived, I had prior knowledge as I had tried to book dinner for that evening but of course due the party the kitchen was closed. Not sure if this message was relayed to everyone as there were a few disgruntled fellow guests at breakfast. We had an immediate apology from the staff that morning, and as I recall though there was certainly noise but it was wound up by around midnight. But I understand for those who retire early it would be a problem. Breakfast was outstanding with quality products and very generous portions , we slso ate dinner on Saturday evening and again we all had something different, and we could genuinely nof find fault inthe food it was excellent . Fladbury itself is a quaint, charming, village nestled between Evesham and Pershore, so accessible to lots of sightseeing, and exploring the local area. All the staff at Chequers were welcoming,friendly and with a genuine aim to please throughout our stay , so just a quick thank you to all concerned for making our stay so enjoyable.

Came out for dinner with family the syrup had gone on the lemonade so was just soda, the staff were very accommodating and friendly and kindly fixed the problem. The starters came out where I found a caterpillar crawling around. Main courses the fried egg on the gammon was still slimy, the burger bun was black. Ordered well done steaks and they came out pink, children’s chicken goujons were very over cooked and dark. The staff really didn’t seem bothered. Would not return again

Lovely traditional pub with super friendly staff and very delicious food served in generous portions… my buttermilk chicken burger was delicious and contained at least half a chicken! ;). Follow that with two huge waffles, ice cream and biscotti sauce… suffice to say I slept very well!!

This is the most amazing Pub/restaurant /Hotel, it's off the beaten track but well worth a visit, we stayed in room 4 it was beautiful, old timbers, creaky floor with so much character, and immaculately clean, we ate our evening meal in the restaurant the haddock and chips were perfect, the highlight of our stay was the cooked full English breakfast, I have to say it was perfect, Donna the manager was a superb host, although she hasn't been running the pub long she clearly has got a good team together, we will definitely be back for another stay.

Donna and staff amazing. No one could do more and she even did ALL the cooking. New chef starting Sunday. Donna has been the manager here for just a few months. Food and friendlies tops. Bedroom needs refurbishment but she'll certainly get to them given time and hard work. Fantastic. Well done. And thank you.

What an absolute joy to be welcomed by friendly member of staff, extremely informative and a real pleasure to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble & the service brilliant. The food was gorgeous. Sometimes when you eat out you get quality or quantity. Look no further. Quality is fantastic & we both couldn’t finish our mains. I had Cajun Chicken & my wife had the Famous Chequers Pie. ( Never known Mrs P leave food 🤣) Lovely way to spend Valentine Lunch time. Highly recommended & we will definitely return

A warm welcome at the Chequers Inn. We stayed here for 1 night as unfortunately had a funeral to attend. We arrived fairly late but just in time to eat which was a result as the food was excellent!! We were so stuffed we could only share a pudding!! A long chat with the lovely Donna, whilst we wound down from our drive was very enjoyable!! A good sleep in our spacious room followed by a long lay was just what we needed. The rooms could do with an update but the value for money outweighs this!! I’m sure with Donna now firmly at the helm, this little gem will go from strength to strength!!

The food is amazing. We stayed 3 nights and ate breakfasts and a dinner here. The inn has a large beer garden with great views, although did not use in February. Plenty of parking and large room. Nearby Fladbury pie shop worth a visit. Nothing is too much trouble for Donna and the team.

I would recommend coming here (or again) because the food is amazing and the homemade burgers taste amazing. The whole reason I got the burger is because the cashier (Amy) when we were buying chips she asked “ what burger do you want” and we said “we don’t want one” but I said “y’know what! I will have one”. Anyway, the interior is amazing and my dog came and loved it (eating food).

At the time of going to The Chequers it was under very sad circumstances for my husband.s wake. The staff were very friendly and Understanding we arrived to warm welcome with a log fire, the food was delicious and all freshly made. We will definitely go back to raise a glass or two to my beloved husband. It seems odd to put a review on at such a time but I felt I should share my experience.

Donna and staff very friendly and accommodating especially the chef as I have food allergy, the food was prepared to my taste. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed the night clean but rooms need updating, having said that it was adequate. Promised by Donna our next stay will hv more updated rooms. Excellent value for money

Stayed overnight, room6, superfine bed, loved the quirkiness of the room, in a very old building, really warm with outside temp of -7 degrees. We had dinner the evening before, couldn't fault the food. Huge portions, extensive menu and breakfast in the morning was amazing. If I ever need to visit the area again, will definitely be back! Very friendly staff, lovely room and gorgeous food. This was my second stay at the hotel and no hesitation in staying again. Only downside was the poor wifi.

Me and my girlfriend stopped here for the night. The pub itself is really nice good prices great food. The rooms were spacious had a balcony which was great and had breakfast included which was a very great price especially as we decided to stay on a whim the day we got there. But our best part was Naomi who was super helpful very friendly helped us out with all our needs and was just a great laugh. If we are back in the area we will definitely stop here again.

I stayed here last month, had a tainted fish and chips and thought never again. But, im here tonight and I'm glad I did, a lovely young couple running the Chequers, 6X as the guest ale and a 10/10 for the butter chicken I just had for supper. Staying in the area on holiday, so returned for a meal, as we had been in March for dinner and it was lovely, so today we went for lunch, absolutely beautiful freshly cooked meals to order, could not fault the food, and the meal was served by friendly staff. Very many years ago I attended Fladbury Primary school, having been born a mile away from the village. My parents’ graves are in the local church yard but when I have visited in the past I have stayed at The Evesham Hotel, now allegedly taken over by The Home Office for illegal immigrants. So I thought I’d give the Chequers a try for the night. Well I did have my first pint there over 50 years ago! First the room. I rang in and told them I would be later than anticipated and spoke with Zoe who was friendly, professional and very helpful. She advised booking a table for dinner and said it would get very busy but I wasn’t very happy with the times she offered so she managed to get a much better timing for me. A good start. On arrival the lady behind the bar was once more helpful and friendly. It’s an old pub so don’t expect the Ritz but the room was well furnished, clean and I got a comfortable night’s sleep. But before that, I had dinner. Considering that I had been told it got very busy I was surprised to find myself the only one in the dining room but as 7pm approached it suddenly got very full. My starter of garlic butter prawns was excellent as was the pork belly. Based on that it’s no wonder it seems very popular. So all in all it was an excellent stay and for a price that was extremely reasonable. I can thoroughly recommend the Chequers.

This is my second stay. My mate and I use it as a base when we fish the nearby river Avon. We greatly enjoyed our stay and this again was largely down to the hard working and personable staff who bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. The important stuff. The rooms were very airy, clean and the beds we’re comfortable and of high quality. The bathroom was clean and the shower was very powerful with lots of hot water. The food choices were a bit limited but everything we had was fresh, beautifully cooked and made in good time. On leaving I commented how much I liked the picture in my room. With that the lovely staff went and got a miniature of the same picture and gave it to me! Thank you to the team at Chequers for making our stay an extremely enjoyable one. Russ from Earlswood

Insufficient staff, poor barmade was run off her feet serving food and drinks, while the manager & chef hid themselves away in the kitchen! The service was slow and although first through the door they served their locals first! Crispy noodles and duck wasn't..... they'd run out of noodles ?? So a bowl of salad leaves turned up with three slices of duck on ! ( son hates salad ) Our starters of prawn cocktail was just a large bowl of salad leaves with a few prawns on top swamped in Marie Rose sauce. Again our mains were swamped in salad, not a garnish but enough that a vegetarian would call it a meal !! That said the steak, fish & chips and buttered chicken were delicious 😋 As I said previously the young lady was rushed off her feet and trying her best yo keep up but having wasted 18mins for us to be offered a sweet of sorts we gave up and awaited another 10mins yo pay the bill. DESPERATELY in need of more staff, and manager needs to interact with customers when asked! Hence this poor review.

We visited for afternoon meal for a special occasion. Not many diners but that was to be expected for a 4 o'clock booking. Waited too long for someone to take a drinks order. Table was clear of all items but sugar was spread about on tabletop and not what to expect in present climate when things are supposed to be cleaned before the next customers use that table. My wife had a starter which she enjoyed and I had after which was also enjoyed. however the main meals had there problems. My wife had fishcakes which she did not finish as they were very dry and bland. I ordered the burger with chips and trimmings but whereas I was expecting thick cut chips I was served the thinnest fries ever. The sauces came in sachets and while waiting for dessert I noticed the sachets of B-B-Q sauce were 6 months out of date, not what you expect in this coronavirus crisis. On checking the other sauces we found the tartar sauce sachets to be 10 months out date.Very let down and disappointed with experience. Much as we were looking forward to a new local eating house I cannot recommend .

Had to book a wake in a location I did not know. I booked The Chequers over the phone as it was close to The Vale Crematorium. I could not praise the service enough really friendly helpful and sorry to mention it the price was really good as well.Food was lovely even though we only had a buffet of sandwich's and bowls of chips. Everyone without exception had there fill.It is a shame we live so far away as would love to make this my local.

My wife and I regularly have lunch out and on this occasion we said we would find somewhere new rather than one of the usual venues, so with no plans we just drove around the local villages of Worcestershire, and happened upon the brown sign in the village for the Chequers, it was very quite inside , we were early though with only one other couple in the restaraunt, the building is old but the interior is fresh, open plan with numerous clean well lit rustic wooden tables and chairs especially the ones near the garden, there is a lunch menu 2 items or 3 items for a set price with a good selection of starters, mains and sweets, however we chose items off the a la carte menu, my wife the belly pork and I had the prawn and crab linguine, a glass of house red quickly ordered and arrived and our food arrived in good time, fabulous presentation of both meals and great tasting, the pictures don’t do them justice, oh and a small (large) sticky toffee pudding to share for sweet, this is a great location, excellent food, and really worth a visit if your venturing around South Worcestershire.

We have eaten here several times over the last few months and the food is consistently delicious. Love the fact the menu changes seasonally and is really creative. The dishes look and taste great and the menu has a varied choice - high end pub food but at a reasonable price. The staff are lovely and welcoming and the service always top notch. This place is also perfect for a few drinks - always a variety of local ales, excellent wine list, and they also serve a mean gin and tonic. A very friendly and welcoming country pub. So lucky to have this place as our local!
