Simply top pub food, good service. It was a busy evening and the pub had a good atmosphere. Burgers were good, rump steak was well cooked. Gammon was OK.

Review of The Oxon Priory, Shrewsbury We were at a bit of a loose end one evening and decided to opt for a casual dinner out, avoiding anything too expensive or overly fancy. The Oxon Priory turned out to be the perfect choice. The menu offered classic pub grub, and everything was well-presented with hearty, comforting options. The service was excellent — our waiter, Brodie, was particularly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. It was clear the staff take pride in providing a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, which added to the overall positive experience. Though this was a spur-of-the-moment decision, we were impressed enough that we’ll definitely be returning for more enjoyable pub dining in the future. A great spot for anyone looking for a casual yet satisfying meal.

Restaurant closed so had to use cafe for microwave sandwich and lukewarm coffee

We booked a wake here and this can be a very difficult choice for a grieving family. However, we needn't have worried Dawn and her fantastic team made us all feel welcome and supported. The food was incredible and plenty of it, it had many of the guests commenting. Couldn't have chosen anywhere better. Thank you all.
