Enjoyed a 3 course Sunday lunch. Note that they do Sunday roasts which are not on the menu. All home cooked fresh food. Friendly, helpful staff, reasonable prices and lovely clean toilets. Thanks to the lady that helped us with an accessible table.

Arrived on a Sunday hoping for a Sunday lunch and were in luck, Sunday dinner was fabulous everything cooked to perfection, fish bucket and halloumi to start, one main of pork and one of beef. It’s rated in our top 3 Sunday dinners ever when eating out. Staff friendly, checked in to a clean and spacious room with a comfy bed. Enjoyed the beer garden on a sunny afternoon and had an evening snack of loaded fries (great idea to have a list of toppings and pick your own) and halloumi fries, again all tasty. Breakfast was a pre order - which isn’t always my first choice predicting what I want the following day, but again could not fault, brilliant. Overall this place was a great find and will certainly call in for food at the least when next in the area, but likely to stay again. The only tiny improvements we could find would be a shower that had some power, and the staff not taking over the pool table all evening after finishing their shifts - but little things that would not take away from a great all round 5* experience.

Can’t thank you enough for the cock inn for there hospitality, especially as we traveled from Kent to watch our beloved Gillingham, what more do you want from a pub that is friendly, cooks you up food for free and what an excellent service if I lived in this town I would appreciate This pub, staff can’t do enough for you, definitely one off the best pubs I’ve been in, within 20 years of travelling away with my football team! You’re pub is superb and keep up the good work look forward to come back again

This converted school house is really lovely dog friendly place near The Stiperstones. The fresh homemade cakes (we had bara brith and scones) were fabulous and tea was served in china cups and saucers! It sells a wide range of walking books as well as nice local craft items (tea towels, candles, jewellery etc). We were served by the very friendly Rita, who pampered our two dogs and chatted to us about hers. An unexpected little gem, especially on a wet and dreary July afternoon! Thank you.

Stayed at the Abel's Harp it's a hotel decorated shabby chic and in the country, it also has Glamping huts we found the staff Julz And Dermo fantastic that's the main reason for the five stars,we also had a beautiful steak dinner on our first night the rooms are not massive but more than adequate and are on suite,we also had fun feeding the alpacas that belong to the hotel,We found Julz does everything from 1st thing in the morning till after 10 at night don't know what she's paid but she's worth every penny as she made our stay extra special,my suggestion to the hotel is to put on a fast food menu at a reasonable price especially for the glampers then many would stay in the hotel vicinity and not drive to nearby villages for food.
