This is the second time that we have eaten in The Ballroom restaurant at Hoar Cross Hall Like any restaurant, all three of the crucial elements need to be right for it to be considered exceptional, the food, the ambiance and the quality of the service The Ballroom at Hoar Cross Hall cannot be faulted, excellent food, beautifully prepared and presented, served by charming, attentive and knowledgeable staff in a magnificent setting

I'm surprised there is only 1 review for this lovely place. I go with my partner fairly regularly and we love it. It's kind of no frills being where it's situated but the food is ALWAYS so good and so reasonably priced. Service is fast, welcoming and friendly. They don't serve alcohol but there is a Tesco next door and you can take drinks in...perfect! I've got to say the lamb shish tonight was beautiful, PERFECTLY cooked. It's always busy with deliveries and collections and bookings later in the evening so we always book or go early. Just love this place!

I have visited this pub quite a few times now and I have to say the customer service from the landlord and the landlady is fantastic Phil and Sam run such nice pub. I would highly recommend this pub As it's very nice place to chill out in. Phil and Sam always go out of their way to help people and put live music on and open mic nights, which I have to say our fantastic. This pub is definitely worth a visit if you are in the Burton on Trent area.

I bought a cheese and onion pastie and a vegan sausage roll. I bit into it and they were cold so I asked them to heat it up and they refused saying they cook them but them put them in the display case which is not heated . The reason why I chose Greg's was because I needed something hot in this cold weather. They would not swap it or refund me even after I told him I would have to throw it in the bin.

The bar staff here are unbelievably welcoming. Had a bad day and they were lovely and welcoming. I would highly reccomend this pub for a friendly pint

Un restaurante muy bonito, con un servicio rápido y eficiente, el personal muy amable, la comida y la bebida encantadora y precios muy razonables. Tenía queso en tostadas, que era precioso y fresa era precioso y un batido y con espuma! Definitivamente volveremos! 😀

On such a beautiful sunny day it seemed only right to sit outside at this lovely courtyard setting. We perused the menu and decided on a breakfast sandwich and the veggie breakfast. When the food arrived it was hot and plentiful. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. I had the breakfast sandwich, or should I say mountain, it was huge! With a side of beans, I wasn’t sure I would eat it all but I gave it a shot, hubby did have to help me out a little. We haven’t been to the cafe for a while, can’t believe we left it so long, we’ll certainly be back soon, Great food, great service, great value for money.

After ordering from too good to go, I think I've found a firm favourite in my town for food. The food has so much flavour, comforting and filling. We had chicken and mash/rice which is like a risotto and two soups. I had the veggy bean soup and it was so good. Worth paying full price but worth a go on 2g2g also!

Went here for a family celebration. We had a lovely room, tastefully decorated. The food was absolutely delicious. Good portion sizes and very tasty. It was obvious that the ingredients were high quality. Beer and wines were good too, with a selection of locally brewed beers. Service was very good being perfectly attentive without being overly obtrusive. The children in the group were very well looked after, with great children's food and also activities to help keep them entertained. It was our first visit and I'm sure that it will not be our last! Thoroughly recommended.

Went to watch Big Stone Gap on Sunday. Had a lovely afternoon. Great little place. Really nice staff and a good vibe to the place. Hope to hear them again here.
