Perfect nights stay, it's like a home from home and the hosts are fantastic everything is what you would want

Lovely bnb, only 20mins away from Alton Towers. Would highly recommend. Stayed in the family room which consisted of two rooms and one bathroom. One room had a double and the other two singles. Breakfast in the morning was lovely, as were the hosts, and they made a great recommendation for eating locally at a pub (Butchers Arms, Barnshall). Would defo stay again.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We stayed here after visiting Alton Towers, it is close enough to be convenient yet far enough that you are away from the traffic, it was around 15-20 mins away from the resort. The hosts are genuinely lovely people who let us check in early and our room was clean and tidy. The hosts are strict about noise after dinner time which means that you can't hear a pindrop! The breakfast was lovely and you put in your order the night before, it was served quickly and professionally however the hotel still has a sense of warmth and care towards those who are staying. Absolutely exceptional hotel, genuinely one of the best places I have ever stayed and I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Right from booking the customer service was fantastic. We were due to attend a wedding in Uttoxeter Town Centre at 1530 on Saturday 27.08.2022 and wanted to get showered and changed after a long drive. Although check in was normally later in the day, David pre-arranged an early check in and were were able to take our room from 1300. On arrival, first impressions were 'wow' a beautiful property in a lovely location. Plenty of parking and a lovely reception from David. Our room was beautiful. Bright and airy, spotlessly clean with a fabulous en-suite, tea and coffee making facilities, TV hair dryer etc. The bed was so comfortable and the carpet thick and soft. David asked us to pre-order breakfast for the following morning (as he liked to make sure he had all ingredients) and also an approximate time we would expect to be down. Unfortunately we arrived back to the Olive Tree too late in the evening to take advantage of the bar area. After a very comfortable and sung night's sleep we went down to breakfast at our allocated time. Rebecca offered us cereals, yogurts as well as our cooked breakfast with fresh orange or apple juice and toast. The breakfast was beautiful, I can't imagine how to describe how good it was was, fresh, hot, perfectly cooked, good quality sausage and bacon and the perfect fried egg along with mushrooms, beans and hash brown. Perfect. We can't recommend this place enough and should we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely rebook and hopefully stay a little longer as there appeared to be lots to do in the area. Very pleasant stay in a nice location. The bedroom had character but was very clean. The bed comfortable which was handy as we walked miles. The breakfast was excellent. One of the best I’ve had. David and Rebecca were very hospitable and would happier stay again if in the area.

Great B&B, spotlessly clean, great modern bathroom, good shower. Cosy room, comfy bed. Friendly staff, very accommodating. Breakfast was delicious, wish could of finished it. Would stay again. Fab for trip to Alton Towers.

Beautiful little tearoom run by a very friendly family. We use it for a breakfast treat - sometimes as a family and today just my husband and myself. Always a warm welcome and a piping hot full English breakfast with a decent cup of coffee too!

Excellent afternoon tea sandwiches where generous with filling the cake beautifully moist and the scones fresh all topped off with a large pot of tea service was very good nothing was too much trouble all our special dietary requirements where adhered to I really carnt praise it enough will be returning very soon

These tea rooms used to be the village pub and eatery but have undergone a revamp and change of management. The result is a very attractive traditional style tea shop where you can go for a cuppa and a cake or a light lunch. Dogs are welcome and the very tastefully decorated interior offers a selection of different interconnected rooms. It can accommodate a lot of people but because of the layout feels very intimate. The menu is modest but everything is very tasty and homemade.

What a little gem. Called in with friends this morning for breakfast and the whole experience was fabulous. The place is really lovely and the food was beautifully cooked and very tasty. Would definitely return.

We came in today (24 October). Had two lovely omelettes, two pieces of delicious cake and drinks. Wonderful place, smashing staff and what good use of an old pub that might have been lost. Well done everyone at the Olive Tree

Situated in the High Street in Stramshall a pretty village near Uttoxeter in premises which used to be a pub - THe Hare and Hounds. We have visited quite often. Superb breakfasts, Cakes, light lunches, afternoon teas. Friendly efficient service. Well worth a visit.

A lovely tea room that offers a range of home cooked food. Our lunch was delicious and a good price. The afternoon tea looks a real treat so will return soon to give it a go.

4 of us came for breakfast on sat 31st Aug & all the different breakfasts were lovely.The coffee is the best aswell thank you, we'll be back

After a great tour around the JCB factory, we were invited by family members for lunch at the Olive Tree. They had reserved a table which was big enough for 9 of us. The menu was varied and together with the specials board provided more than enough to satisfy anyone's taste. Service was efficient and staff most welcoming. The quality and amount of the various sandwiches and other dishes was excellent. Everyone had a good and satisfying lunch. Thankyou Olive Tree.

Came here with family. My wife had been before and recommended it. The food is wonderful. Fresh, well cooked and plentiful. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful place, the furnishings are comfortable and the whole place is extremely clean. The staff are super friendly and the food is just amazing, the scones are particularly good. The tea and coffees are of a very high standard. We have been to the themed quiz nights and the food is just superb and plentiful.

Beautifully decorated, comfortable setting for good food. All dishes are home made and nicely presented. Breakfasts are well cooked. An assortment of paninis, sandwiches and jacket potatoes is supplemented by a specials board which gives a nod to Mediterranean tastes. service is friendly. Dogs are welcome. Well worth a visit.

We spotted the little sign during during a fraught journey involving road closures and delays and decided to stop for breakfast. We were so glad we made that decision; a lovely welcome, really good local bacon, lovely scrambled eggs, crispy bagel filled with cream cheese and smoked salmon, extremely good. (And not expensive at all!) The staff are clearly enthusiastic about local produce - and it showed...this will be a place we will visit every time we make that journey. The frustrations and stresses of the earlier part of the journey were completely removed - thank you!
