A really great place, lovely rea and coffee ā˜•ļø. Food always looks amazing but I do object to having to pay more just to eat in as opposed to raking away. Staff always nice and very helpful.

Fabulous pub inn. Rooms are delightful and very beautifully styled. Plenty of roaring fires in the pub. Food is excellent. Chef is apparently Italian and they have a pizza oven outside which is used in the summer so must go back and try them! Great walks locally. Staff couldn't be more helpful, especially Luke who was fab. Had a small baby who was allowed in the pub and to sleep on one of the chairs. Charlbury is a small, charming village.

A gorgeous village pub, turned into a money making eatery. Absolutely packed, so my review will make no difference to their profits. However, for those who would feel ripped off for paying Ā£26 for the tiniest pork chop with a dollop of apple sauce (literally nothing else on the plate), then please avoid. The tiny pork chop was cooked really well and was delicious, but Ā£26? No, no, no! Weā€™ll leave this one for the customers who have more money than sense. Service was pleasant and the tiny chop was tasty, but Iā€™ll cook my own next time and give the monetary difference to charity šŸ˜Š

Had a takeaway whilst staying at a local campsite and the bhajis were lovy but my curry, a malaya was bland and my husbands curry was so oily, the pilau rice was just wet boiled rice with the odd bit of colour. Not at all worth the money we paid
