The best restaurants in Ampfield and Braishfield Test Valley South East

The fireworks night last weekend was superb! I’ve not been to such a well organised family-friendly event like this before. The entry/ticket-check was a smooth swift process and very well organised. The food options were just what a November night out needed. Hot, fresh, and varied. The burgers were amazing! The fireworks were on for nearly 15mins, and were spectacular! Someone in our group arrived late and said cars on the main road outside had parked up on the verge…to watch the fireworks!

Unfortunately the young waiter got the crumble flavour wrong which meant I didn't want/like it which was fine but didn't expect to be confronted by the chef who wanted me to still pay for it! Appeared to be no supervisor out front to help the poor waiter

Wow , the new Landlady and chef have transformed the place. The atmosphere is charming. The Ale is spot on, tough to get that right, well kept. The Chicken Salad my family had and my Steak were exceptional meals for a Pub. We will be back very soon !

A fantastic menu with so much choice and the chef exceptional. All dishes are flavoursome, quality ingredients used and cannot praise the good enough! Highly recommend the Irish stew and Sunday roasts incredible. Front of house always so welcoming and a lovely ambience. A favourite place and highly recommend a visit.

Great food and friendly efficient service. The vegan Indian sharer was lovely, the main course of curries were good too, and one of our party stayed traditonal with the chicken caesar salad.
