The best restaurants in Buckland New Forest South East

I found this on the recommendation of my physiotherapist at the local hospital. Wow! What good advice. The coffee blend I had was probably the best I have had. I go out for coffee every day and this was superb. Extremely happy to recommend this place. Very friendly staff.

It's a country pub Didn't have food Went on open mic night It was a shame the people at the front where talking So u couldn't really appreciate the bands /singers If u wanna talk get out the way go to the back but that's not the pubs fault

After much discussion we decided to go to the Monkey Brewhouse for our NYE meal, so pleased we did! Despite the place being absolutely heaving (great atmosphere) we had a wonderful meal. So impressed with all the staff who were rushed off their feet but still managed to serve everything with a smile. Food was delicious, beautifully cooked and presented. Added bonus of live music so we danced our way into 2025. Thank you to the whole team, it was a lovely way to round off 2024.

Came for late lunch with family. Told there would be a little wait as we had just come in a behind table of 12. The food portions, quality and price were excellent. The pub was packed and even though we had a little wait (completely understandable considering the big tables that had come in) we were so surprised to learn that there was only one chef in the kitchen. She did an absolutely wonderful job (we work in the trade so hats off to her!). The front of house team were equally good, keeping us informed and being so helpful. We will definitely be back. So nice to be able to go into a proper traditional forest pub with our dog!
