The best restaurants in Effingham Guildford South East

nuggets were good. BUT!! I spent £4 for 9 nuggets!! so disappointed. Do better.! I am so sad that I wasted my money.!!!!!!

Exceptionally friendly. The loveliest of ladies cooked the most delicious food. The full English was amazing. Huge portion and cooked beautifully. I will definitely return.

I stayed a couple of nights and enjoyed my stay. The accommodation is roomy, clean and peaceful. Donna and her team are hospitable and welcoming. I knew this place years ago and the transformation is excellent compared to the tired place it had become. The bar is most attractive serving one local real ale and a small but adequate wine selection. There is another pub, the Plough, a short distance away if you’re looking to eat and drink elsewhere. I had dinner in the Queen Stage on the Monday and particularly enjoyed the very generous cheese board. All in all a most enjoyable break.

Very nice roast dinner, good service and good environment. Portion size for the roast for both kids and adults could be a bit more generous but it was very tasty!

The pub is lovely and very friendly staff. We ordered a sharing plate called a butchers block which sounded amazing, lots of different meats and bread, when it arrived it was very small it certainly wasn't enough for the two of us! The price of this was £24, the selection of meats was very sparse and two very small pieces of bread it was very disappointing and certainly was not anywhere near worth the money. So disappointing 😞

One of the best Christmas lunches I have eaten outside of home! The starter of smoked trout pate was also excellent. The service was exemplary.
