The best restaurants in Stewkley Aylesbury Vale South East

We went with another couple for Sunday lunch which we’d pre booked.We had a voice of table.Service and welcome were friendly and helpful,albeit a little slow as it wasn’t full.We enjoyed local ales and choice of wines by the glass.Sunday roasts were superb with ample fresh vegetables served separately.All good except for the cherry and brandy Eton Mess which seemed to be almost entirely whipped cream.We ate very little of it,pointed it out to staff who knocked one of the two off our bill to which they added 12.5% service charge.Good,could have been 5 stars ,we’ll be back

Hemos tenido algunas buenas comidas y aperitivos aquí, pero hemos aprendido que la cafetería cerrada en noviembre del año pasado. No sabemos si ha sido o puede ser resucitado en cualquier forma algún día. Es una lástima. Intentaron realmente difícil.

Absolutely fabulous pub! The manager was lovely and couldnt do enough to help, and the food was delicious! They even made some garlic mayo especially for me and I have to say, it was the best I have ever had. Would highly recommend!

The food was really nice. The menu is limited (unless you want a pizza). Starters are refreshingly different to usual fare, mains are more mundane. Starters took a while to appear even though both were cold, although I had expected Calamari to be served hot (No indication on menu that it is a cold dish). Mains were quicker to appear and were delicious. Serving staff very good but I was disappointed to note waiter held the tines of the forks when laying table next to us. Altogether a good experience if a little expensive.

I last visited this pub seven years ago. Since then, they've undergone several ownership changes. The new owners have been operating for about a month, and it looks like they are going to do well. The atmosphere was lively and friendly, and the food was very good. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Stewkley or the surrounding area.
