The best restaurants in Stewkley Aylesbury Vale South East

Visited for Sunday lunch. Pre booked. We were regulars at the Unicorn in Cublington which the new owners previously ran. Good to see fine food and service has been brought with them to Stewkley. Service was appropriately paced for a Sunday and not too hurried. We all went for the roasts, all of which were great and came with heaps of veg. Good to see the current trend for charging extra for more than two veg hasn’t caught on here! We had puddings,however all were slightly on the “heavy” side after such a big roast. All in all very good, however as with other places, a 10% service charge is automatically added even for couples which I think is wrong.This needs to be rethought.

Hemos tenido algunas buenas comidas y aperitivos aquí, pero hemos aprendido que la cafetería cerrada en noviembre del año pasado. No sabemos si ha sido o puede ser resucitado en cualquier forma algún día. Es una lástima. Intentaron realmente difícil.

Lovely village pub with a variety of beers and ales on tap, the menu has something for everyone including Fab pizzas! All the staff are lovely and friendly. Very reasonable pricing and the big fire makes it all cosy. There’s a really large garden too for summer.

Dirty table, the floor hadn't been swept, dirty windows, muddy chairs. Unattentive staff. One item of food was overcooked and when it was mentioned to staff they did nothing. To add insult to injury when we double checked the bill on the way home a 10% service charge was added - we ate in the bar area and got our own cutlery etc! Needless to say we wouldn't go back or recommend the Betsey Wynne.

Walked into this pub and walked straight out after being very rudely greeted by the bar staff. We had asked if they were open as there was only one other person in there and had a rude/ sarcastic reply from both people behind the bar.. very rude, will not be returning
