The best restaurants in Lyth Valley South Lakeland North West

I like this place and the staff are lovely. But the menu is dull as dishwater. The food was well done but boring. And the main room needs some soft furnishings to absorb the noise - can’t hear yourself talk when it’s full

Up in the area for an anniversary treat. First time at the punchbowl but it definitely won’t be our last . The service and food were exceptional. We went with two dogs and were made to feel very welcome. I can’t praise this place highly enough , thank you for a fabulous experience x

Booked a one night stay and have to say we really enjoyed our stay. Checking in was fuss free and very friendly, a special mention to Rebecca who looked after us during our stay, you couldn't wish for a more genuine caring host, she made sure we felt welcome and gave the place a real home from home feeling. Our room "Tyan" was a good size, had a great view and a lovely comfy bed, along with roll top bath and shower. Refreshments in the room (coffee bags, tea and bottled water) and biscuits were all good quality. Fresh milk was provided which was a nice touch. We ate out with friend who had booked a local restaurant so sadly didnt get a chance to dine in but the quality of the breakfast was first class, local produce cooked to order, fresh jam and preserves, along with a fresh cafetiere of excellent coffee. We'll definately be comming back for another longer stay..

I've been there 6 times, satisfied every time. I recommend a great place to relax, away from civilization, peace and quiet.

Lovely country pub. Decent prices for pints. Didn't get any food so can't comment but menu looked great.
