The best restaurants in Mellor Ribble Valley North West

We were served by Daz and the food was spot on. Top man who helped and offered advice where needed. We had pigs in blankets along with the smothered chicken. It was really tasty.

I recommend this place to everyone the staff was so lovely and the room was so nice and comfy and we down to get breakfast in the morning and we was served by a lady in a headscarf (I’m so sorry I forgot her name ) she was so professional and so lovely she made me feel very comfortable she need a raise all the staff do

Met friends for a pre-Christmas get together and booked into the Millstone at Mellor. Lovely old pub feel with plenty of space between tables. We could mix and match choices from the main menu or the Christmas, which gave us more options. Great service from the bar and food servers. Food was delicious, plentiful, promptly and perfectly served. Would definitely visit again . Thank you for a lovely evening

The term "gastro pub" is over used and inappropriate for many that I've visited. BUT the Bluebird Inn deserves this title as the food here is superb. Coupled with excellent wines, beers and first class accommodation it is definitely the place to stay for one night or as many as you can. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable too, nothing is too much trouble. Plus there are 2x 150kw EV chargers in the car park. Result!

After noon tea ... absolutely disgusted with the lack of attention to customer service and courtesy.Booked our table for 4 people .Wasn't ready when we arrived ..not offered any chance of a drink .Taken to sit at a table only big enough for two people but had to fit all four of us . afternoon tea was inedible as jam pots and marmalade pots had already been opened and used else where with evidence of half filled pots mixed with butter from a knife (presumably) and the cream for the scones had already been used with scoops in it from a used spoon ..There was not enough sandwiches and cakes for two people never mind four ..... On requesting a word with the manager we were told this was not possible as there wasn't a manager on site ..... Refusing to believe this we. Insisted someone came to us .... Eventually we showed the second in charge (presumably again).he looked and disappeared never to be seen again ,!! Needless to say we didn't eat any of the sandwiches as they looked liked they had been passed from what was left over and we also did not Pay ......Advising the staff that we would be adding this to trip advisor and also afew. Other people behind us in the place ......This also needs reporting to the local health and hygiene dept one of my friends will also be adding to this with photos ... ...

Excellent Christmas dinners had by all, juicy turkey, goose fat roasties and the veg was cooked perfectly. Had the creamy garlic mushrooms with vol-au-vent pastry to start, delicious and as always excellent service.

Lovely pub with comfortable rooms. Reasonable price. Super friendly staff and air to it. Would return if I need to stay in the area again.
