The best restaurants in Overton Hyndburn North West

What a fantastic place. My wife and I visited and received such a warm welcome from the owners. He went for the full cheese experience which started with the most amazing fondue followed by a fantastic cheese board with a wide variety of cheeses. We even had the cheese that we couldn’t finish off wrapped up to take home. There was a wide selection of drinks including cocktails. It certainly won’t be our last visit and we even got a gift voucher for a relative as we know it will be a hit with other family members. Thank you for a great evening

My friend and I visited here for afternoon tea. Highly recommended, the two ladies are lovely, the shop and cafe is very well presented and has a great feel. The amount of food was phenomenal and the quality superb. Such good value, I can’t recommend highly enough. We will return.

Lovely cafe - tastefully decorated and a nice atmosphere. It was very quiet when I went in but I think it must be busier in the week. The wheel cakes are lovely and the selection of teas great. Very very reasonably priced too. If I was local I would visit all the time!

First time and really impressed, a great relaxed change and obviously perfect for cheese lovers👌

I've been here on numerous occasions for a meal. The staff are friendly and always had great service. I've ordered various items from the menu, and I've never been disappointed with the food. I've always reserved a table in advance.

Disappointing. Ordered extra Cheese on Garlic Bread, it barely had any on and they forgot my Dab. Fish was OK.

Well, I've reviewed here before as it's quite local to us . We've just had salt and pepper pigs in blankets to share followed by Duck off the Christmas menu. Everything about the meal was perfect. The duck was cooked perfectly, fondant potatoes, roasted carrots carrot puree and brussel sprouts with cranberries jus . Just superb , somehow I also ended up with a chocolate brownie with chocolate shard , amaretto ice cream and cherries . Delicious and very nicely presented. Espresso to finish. Easy 5 stars . It's a very good place to eat we've never been disappointed 😁

I happened by this place while having a night off working away. As a lonely Geordie wandering into a bar I am accustomed to a few dodgy looks but the stocky barman couldn't have made me feel more on edge, glancing at me like I was a troublemaker for having a drink alone. Everyone else however was lovely and I even joined in the karaoke festivities in the end. The patrons are kind but the staff lack a delicate touch to put it nicely.

Booked for festive menu for 12:30pm, arrived 12:10 both front and back door locked. We thought we were too early so hung around, tried again at 12:25 still both doors locked, website said opens at 12pm. We eventually drove off and found a fantastic friendly pub in Whalley. Never received a call to explain why the dog and otter was closed. Very poor customer service.

What can I say new restaurant thought we would try 4 Adults 2 male, 2 female. We arrived a nice Asian gentlemen showed us to a table. It was cols as the heating wasn’t coping. WE ordered drinks then realised they did not have an alcohol licence. (So bring you own booze service) By this time we are starting to realise that it seems like they have never had a restaurant before but they are trying. We ordered the food which it was again a little confusing as like I said it was obvious they were not used to having a restaurant. Now we are getting worried about the food? Now we are talking the food was EXCELLENT some of the tastiest Asian food we have ever tasted. All of us said excellent we will be back. I am sure they will get the rest right eventually. But if you can get past the fact they are disorganised front house the food is worth it. To the owners good luck for the future.

Just been to the cafe and it's gone completely down hill, table are dirty. Food is not right either
