The best restaurants in Eamont Eden North West

My expectations were far exceeded when we just stopped off by chance for a meal on the way back from Leighton Moss to Gretna Green. The starter I chose was baked Brie with bread and olives, there was enough for 2 people to share and it was delicious and beautifully served. Both of us chose steak for a main and it was tender and juicy, with huge homemade chips and a lovely salad. Would definitely eat here again if I was in the area.

Had an excellent early supper, starters were beautiful, good selection, tasty and well presented . The mains, steaks and a roast dinner were equally good. Substantial portions and cooked exactly to our specifications. We had delicious desserts and everything was complemented by some very good wines. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The chef obviously uses quality ingredients and is extremely competent . Lovely ambience, delicious supper.

This was our last visit of the year and we took friends for their first visit. They were very impressed. As always a lovely atmosphere, great staff (Mike we love you!). The food was really good as always too. BUT!!! I was a bit disappointed with the menu this time. Chicken burger, fish & chips?? Not what I’d come to expect. Where was the lively trio of pork and other more adventurous dishes that we’ve had in the past? £24 for a chicken burger was a tad excessive where as you don’t mind paying higher prices for more chefy dishes! I don’t want food that I can make at home or get down my local pub. It was still great though! See you next year!!

Amazing food. The chicken ham and leek pie is the best I've ever tasted. Comes with roasted vegetables and mash. Top marks for all the staff

If you like ice cream, you will love this place. Excellent range of superb ice cream at a very reasonable price. Great to be able to sit and enjoy it whilst looking over to the Pennines with the production team (Jersey cows) chomping away. Very friendly staff.

Absolutely can't fault it Bar staff brilliant Food amazing Pub spotless First pub I have ever been where cater for everyone Gents toilets spotless and even nappies supplied Wife says ladies the same and sanitary items to suit anyone This I hope others will follow To all the team involved you are simply amazing

Friendly staff, good selection of food and drink, handy sport tv and pool, plenty of theme and disco nights. Sunday lunch is superb.

Having partaken of a ‘Pensioner’s Special’ apiece last month, we called in yesterday to partake of the ‘Pensioner’s Christmas Special’. All I can say is that the 2 members of staff did a brilliant job of keeping a full pub fed and watered. The three course meal for £16 was exceptional value by anyone’s standards and the quality and quantity of food was excellent. This has very quickly become our eatery of choice when in the Penrith area.

Not what it's cracked up to be, horrendously expensive, mucky toilets. They may sell a few "different" things, but but the prices are prohibitive to sensible folk.
