We had dinner at the Railway Inn last Wednesday night, and from the minute we walked in the door we had a lovely experience. The owner, Colin, gave us a warm welcome, and he was the perfect host throughout the evening. The pub/restaurant is clean and modern, with a warm and cozy feel. The menu has a good selection of homely meals, something for everyone, all cooked by Hazel, Colin’s wife. Our meals were very tasty, my husband and I had the chicken with black pudding, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The quantity of food was just right, and it was served at the right temperature. The whole evening was very good value for money. We had a really enjoyable night and will go back when we are next in the area.

After picking up my wife from the train station, we decided to go for breakfast. Firstly was lovely & warm upon entering (on a cold wet day, being a bonus) Ordered a breakfast with a portion of fries, egg broken! (Not runny) & 2' coffees. Coffees arrived, lovely & tasty. Breakfast, egg was runny!! Beans were lukewarm, & bacon was rather over done. Ok,, should of/could of said,,! But didn't, not moaning, just pointing out ✌🏼

If you like walking and being besides the sea then this is an absolute must thing you should do whilst you are visiting Barrow
