The best restaurants in Doxford Sunderland North East

Visited Oaktree farm on the 9th July for a family celebration we arrive at 6pm there was no carvery available which was very disappointing to say the least as that was what most of wanted but the waitress was very apologetic however not wanting to cause a fuse we ordered off the menus I’ve got to say my meal was only mediocre at.best the service was dreadful as all our meals came out a different times therefore some were finished eating before others were even served I asked for a coffee and brandy but there was no coffee machine on and no proper brandy glasses the only saving grace of this restaurant was the actual staff who served us they were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us all in all as a family we had a good time but on a personal level I was very disappointed

Real shame is all I can say. We are regular customers but the past 2 occasions have been well and truly terrible. First time waited 50 minutes for food with 2 young kids both under 2 trying to entertain. Wasn’t made aware of the wait by anyone and when you approach the staff you just get that it’s busy. Manager was good first time, give us a refund which I left happy. However, went again yesterday and ordered food. Waited 1 hour 20 minutes for food yet again wasn’t informed upon arrival yet again sat trying to keep 2 kids under 2 entertained ended up leaving my food. When asking the staff if there was an update all I get is ‘we are busy there’s a wait’ well I gathered that but why not tell people when they first come in? Sad thing is it wasn’t even that busy at the time we were there. Safe to say I won’t be returning.

Pedí el pastel de la homilía y a mi hijo se le añadió puré de papas. Cuando llegó había un trozo de algo en el medio del plato, no había pastel. Finalmente encontré un poco de pastel sin cocinar. Supuse que fuera del pastel, lo que fuera que se había desplumado encima de mi puré de patatas con un trozo de brócoli quemado en la parte superior. Se suponía que había patatas asadas, pero eran patatas pequeñas hervidas, pero definitivamente no se cocinaron ese día con un color grisáceo en el interior como eran viejas. La salsa de ciruelas no tenía sabor y la verdura había sido simplemente arrojada en agua caliente para calentarlos estaban casi crudos. Traté de comerlo pero me resultó difícil que fuera una visita después de un viaje al cementerio. Mi hijo me dijo que le dijera al personal cuando el gerente viniera a quitarnos los platos ella procedió a ser muy grosera Debí haberles dicho antes de ordenar Quería verdura cocida lo siento pero ¿por qué es necesario? Así que ten cuidado, lleva tu negocio a otra parte, incluso Morrisons habría sido mejor.

Horrible place, wouldnt let a dog eat in there nevermind people. Staff very unprofessional. The tennant/manager Colin is just arrogant. I would give 0 stars if i could. Avoid at all costs.

Pedimos desde aquí esta noche, la comida era increíble de hecho pedimos desde aquí semanalmente y siempre estamos muy contentos. Nuestra comida siempre ha sido caliente y hermosa. Declan

Waited two hours for food so I cancelled it never again absolutely unreal

Was working in Sunderland area and happened upon this place. Best pizza I e ever had. Pizza base thin and crispy and toppings full of flavour with extremely generous portion of garlic sauce. Exceptional!

Staff are usually very helpful, sometimes the stock levels can be a bit all over the place and can require more than one visit.
