Morrisons Sunderland - Doxford Park Cafe in Sunderland

There today after 2pm plenty to choose from only problem couldn't reach bread at rear of top shelf ad I'm not very tall a kind gentleman customer got it for me

It's a supermarket. Difficult to review

It's Morrisons, but less manic. Doxford Park a better shopping experience than Seaburn

Cafe no staff uncollected food trays on most of the tables plus 40min delay for food and not the first time

The staff in morrisons are always friendly and helpful especially the 2 ladies on the self service tills

Ok quality on foods veg not as cheap as Aldi but quality

Orded sandwiches and grazing platter for a 60th birthday when going to collect was told sorry no grazing platter. Could someone not have been in touch so an alternative from somewhere else could have been arranged. Disgraceful customer service. Will not be using again!

Only went in for one thing, found straight away.no problem.

Anyone who uses the store take note of the number of Items that are priced differently on the shelves to the price you are charged at checkout. Some of the signage in my view is deliberately misleading. When I pointed this to a member of staff I was told" I know everyone complains about it but there is nothing I can do about it" I think they rely on customers not checking their receipts. Despite living near I stopped shopping at this store.

Selection is dismal theses days going backwards as a supermarket very poor Selection fromm fresh veg to breakfast cereals. Will be shopping elsewhere from now on.

Very badly stocked. Very little in the fruit and veg line. Bakery goods all over the shop so very difficult to find. Hardly any still bottled water. You can see why it's so quiet. On my way to Sainsburys now to see if they've got the stuff Morrisons didn't have.

More expensive than it used to be

A lovely lady called Karen today served both my Daughter and I and Niece, she allowed them to have a go at the Tills and it really made their day and mine, thanks so much Karen xxx

Its local, it's convenient but morrisons seems to be getting more expensive than sainsburys and Tesco, and not much of healthier ranges, organic, unpasteurised, ni seed oils, no added nasties, emulsifiers etc

Went to the cafe, had the breakfast sandwich with hot beverage (with free refills) for £4! Filled a gap, great to see the manager getting stuck in and helping staff getting orders out to customers.

Love to shop here. Great selection of food at reasonable prices

Just came to Morrisons café before shopping, ordered a breakfast and lasagne for my wife, being that it a major supermarket with their new and improved menu, they've got no mushrooms or black pudding and they've just came to the table to tell us they have no lasagne, what a joke

Ate in the cafe. I had the mixed grill. Lovely big bit of gammon. Mum had small breakfast. Only criticism would be it wasn't very hot.

Again had everything I went shopping for

morrisons have a great selection of goods they have more than many competitors ,but prices are a little more expensive on many lines ,they have some great offers to entice customers

Enjoy shopping there , only problem I have is the access for pushchairs and wheelchairs the only safe place to walk them is in the middle of the car park and you have to cross a few of the roads in the car park,car drivers don't give much consideration to the users someone is going to be injured sooner or later ,more safe paths are needed .

As always a good store nice and clean

*Fuel station* 2nd time it's happened to me now at this station, Doxford park, go to fill up, waited and waited and waited even longer for them to authorise the pump for me to fill my tank, while the staff just sand there talking to each other, they looked out a couple of times and seen me but still didn't venture to screen to press start, pump went back, and I have filled up somewhere else.

This Morrisons Supermarket provides a mixed experience. While some staff members are friendly and helpful, others can be less so. Prices tend to be higher compared to other supermarkets, and the freshness of some items can be questionable due to poor dates. In addition, Morrisons More proves disappointing with its lack of enticing offers or rewards. On the positive side, the store offers a good selection of wines with occasional enticing deals. While its local convenience is appreciated, I occasionally opt to explore other stores further afield for a more satisfying shopping experience.

Went for breakfast.. Ordered using automated machine, no instructions to advise that you should still get your own beverages, no flag number to mach table number. Food cold on arrival bacon not cooked enough and tomatoes 🍅 had not even seen a grill. Will not be returning any time soon.

First time here and well worth the visit. Especially loved being able to select 4 eggs at 30p each and put them in the egg box provided rather than having to buy six! Local eggs which is great and an egg box I can reuse (when I hopefully remember to bring it) to buy more eggs on my next visit 😁🌱 🌍

Shop clean, well stocked, staff all friendly and helpful. Self check out machine not very reliable, had to call for help several times. Cafe was disappointing, no hot food because of kitchen breakdown.

They need to work on the More card scheme as I don't feel it offers enough incentives. The Nectar scheme is better.

It is a horrible cafe. Food is somewhat artificial and prices are pretty high for the quality. Cafe itself is more like a not very nice canteen for workers rather than paying customers. It lacks warmth, customer care, nice food. Regretted spending every penny there, especially after waiting for food 45 min.

Busy.Lots of stocking shelves when I shopped.

Just been and got some drumsticks from the hot counter generous portions of crispy deliciousness and service with a smile happy days !

Reasonable sized store. I hate the self scan tills and there are a fair amount of them for baskets and a few for self scan with a trolley. They usually have one or two staffed cashier's on tills and they tend to have a qué for them (Morrisons please take note that people seem to want the staffed tills!). I've never been and not seen a qué at the staffed tills! Cafe and small coffee bar available. Flower shop on the foyer. Delicatessen, pizza and chicken counters. Cash machines outside. Nice big car park. The staff they have seem nice.

Over priced products staff weren't very keen or helpful will not be returning sadly returned today grand-daughter needed something from there just as bad as ever they had plenty chicken's but no eggs not just me 2 others commented how bad this corner shop was but that's an insult to real corner shops as I have just went to one and got what I needed and I spent less still over priced absolutely rubbish

Love morrisons anyway, but the staff here are great, always very friendly and welcoming, and helping people is no bother to them.

It was 20.55 at fuel. Others were fuelling and wife's car was very low, with kids. Cashier just kept saying we shut at 21.00. Pointed out it was 5 mins to go and was self service anyway....just said no. Expensive anyway and staff are foul mouthed when customers about.

Very good.would have been 5 stars,but did not have the chocolate porridge pots that we went for. Very good chicken dinner in the restaurant. All the staff we came into contact with were very helpful and friendly.

Clean, tidy aisles, i find the prices are a lot dearer than other supermarkets. Can never find a worker on the shop floor to ask for help.i only visit for items i cant get elsewhere. Too expensive for a weekly shopping trip

Morrisons at Dalton Park deliveries are a shambles 2 items incorrect and 3 items missing

Young girl on pizza counter served us today after we stood waiting over 10 minutes for her to show no uniform or hair net etc very disappointed we won't be using the pizza counter again.

Terrible , when going to hot food we were greated by a worker who had black teeth and he should not be working with food and said no one has chips and was horrible to us

Went for a salad self serve noticed the grated cheese was mouldy again 3 weeks ago it was mouldy then as well when my daughter got one will shop else where from now on

Overpriced. The cooked meat section is terrible and the meat I got ( ox tungue) was rubbery salty and was anything but fresh. Marries dog biscuits £2.50 I can get them for £1.39 a total disgrace. Bananas looked as though they had been on the shelf for 4 months and when u come to pay 2 checkouts open with 6 customers standing at each one.

Loads of self service checkouts. Half of them usually shut. Staff not particularly pleasant. Service with a scowl. Overpriced

I purchased a beautiful £25 bouquet of flowers from here. 3 days later they were dead. I threw away the receipt so Morrisons would not do anything about it. My fault for throwing away the receipt. But I won't be purchasing flowers from here again. Unhelpful in-store florist with an attitude.

It clearly states on here it is open at 6 am. It is not open at 6 am on any day it opens at 7 am. Wasted my time

Like every Morrisons always seems to be full of old people no matter what time of the day. The actual place is ok if not a tad expensive compared to other supermarkets, sandwich selection is ok if you get in early. Salad bar is very poor compared to what it used to be. Overall it’s a last call to get some lunch if in a hurry. Own made sandwiches in store guess the staff don’t care about presentation! This is the best of the egg and cress sandwiches so imagine the others!

Bought 2 bags of shopping today only cost £29, bargain as 2 bags normally cost £70

Large variety to choose from and also strategically located for easy access from farringdom

When you come home and a morrison van thinks he is the 4th emergency service parking in the middle of the road but what the hell let's him get his job finished quicker so I park up the street no harm done then 20 mins later I come out my front door to this absolute disrespect won't be long before some kids are kicking it all over the street. At what point does the van driver think I want to live in a $###HOLE

Store has had a "makeover" shopping takes twice as long as I have to hunt,often unsuccessfully, for products I regularly buy. Also there are more self checkouts and fewer manned tills. I for one don't want to scan a week's shopping and would miss the interaction with staff.

Always great except the one older lady who works on customer service. She has a mayjor attitude. Other family and friends have even noticed.

Sorry, had to drop 2 stars! Had a "make over" recently, and whilst it's a better layout (actually now got a few trolley bays to keep trolleys dry), feels updated inside, the thing that let's it down is the checkouts. Absolutely bad now they've removed the majority of manned checkouts to replace them with self service checkouts! No good for elderly people, which results in bigger queues at the manned tills. Not good Morrisons .

James Doherty ~ was the most pleasant person and helpful person, he went above & beyond to help, in store and aftercare. He also was gr8 on the frozen section, making good recommendations 👏.

Take no notice regarding garden centre opening times , on two visits it was not open, there won't be a third time.

We used to eat here quite regularly - I'd bring the kids after school once a week. But recently they've gone right downhill - let me explain. We arrive around 4pm and try to order from the electronic device - 'Sorry, not available' was the response to my main meal request. So I cancel, thinking there's a fault. We trundle around to the cashier with a tray that's still wet from washing (presumably). I ask for chicken and chips - 'Sorry, that's not available now.' OK, how about fish and chips? - 'Sorry, that's also not available now.' Ok, what DO you have then? Being partially deaf, I struggle to hear what she says, so I just ask - "How about a breakfast then?" Yay! They can do a breakfast! It has been like this for ages now. Only one member of staff visible, to order from, deliver to the tables, clean, re-stock the cutlery etc etc. The tables were dirty. There were no teaspoons or wooden alternatives. The sauces you have to ask for. The cutlery still had food on from previous use. And - you can no longer get refillable hot drinks. There is never any brown sugar. The list goes on. It seems that they are under-staffed and the menu is really dissapointing with many choices not available. I will not be eating here again until they've cleaned up their act.

Its just like any other supermarket but this one had no chicken breasts. Never mind eh, ALDI over the road had tons of it.
