Manhattan Pizza Company in Sunderland

After reading the mixed reviews I thought I'd still give them a try and honestly the pizza was poorly made the crust was too big for the pizza at 3inches High and 2 inches thick the base thickness 1mm thick so all the topping slid off its impossible to have a base that thin and hold any toppings for a pizza place to be serving pizza this poorly made id bet the business is really struggling and wont be around much longer thats being said the dough was fresh and tasty and the pizza sauce was nice.

food was excellent as always driver was polite and tipped accordingly

clearly something has changed, either new staff or just not careing on a Wednesday order. peperoni pizza was fine but the vegetarian had pepers some corn and perhaps 1 mushroom and i had paid for extra cheese that was overlooked or we have different opinions on extra cheese last the mexican pizza and all i can say was bland the base had more flavour. used to be a good place for pizza, but as i said something has changed.

Unfortunately the Pizza had more crust than topping. Tasted good, but disappointed with the crust issue.

Spent £26 on a meal deal. The chicken kebab was inedible, it was that awful cubed processed chicken and the pitta bread was like cardboard. The other half got a chicken Kiev pizza which was more tomato than anything else and definitely didn't have any garlic on it. When he tried to pick a slice of pizza up all the topping slid off into the box. Absolutely awful, a complete waste of £26......definitely WOULD NOT recommend.

Great pizza unfortunately this was let down as the pizza was stuck to the box and mainly uneatable.

More crust than actual thin crust pizza . Sparse toppings. Absolute waste of money Try Aldi frozen instead. Would have attached photos but there was more needy critters over my back fence

I've came back to Manhattan after while and I've gotta say the pizza was back to it's beautiful self nice and juicy not dry , they've changed the chips but prefer the new ones , miss there lunchtime specials also 😀

Having walked past/driven past plenty of times I decided to give this place a go. Probably the best pizza I've ever had delivered to my house. Piping hot, good quality toppings and the pizza sauce was excellent. This will be my go to pizza place from now on. 10/10

Pizza was hot very pleased as last two visits pizza was cold. Hasn’t deterred me as been using Manhattan for years and beats any dominos or papa johns

Kebab was awful. The chicken was chewy and tasted awful. The whole thing was inedible.

The vegetarian pizza was very baisc, very little cheese and not that many veggies. Not the quality you used to provise.

Very friendly staff! Pizza was delicious. Overall 10/10 with no complaints. Will definitely be returning. By far the best pizza shop we have found in Washington! They also have some halal options.

Good pizza but very thick. We ordered thin bases and they were honestly more like a thick crust. Which I don’t like. Having said that toppings etc were nice. And fab chips and curry sauce.

My "over the decades " pizza no. 1 place. I removed myself from pizzas for a while and just needed one. Jeez missed their pizzas x

Food is usually very nice. My last order was disappointing, a 16 inch pizza was swimming in grease and a so called fruit cheese cake which turned out to be plain bland cheese cake. 20 quid in the bin shame on you manhattan pizza company.

Best Pizza I’ve had from a takeaway. Lovely crust and correct amount of tomato to cheese. I Personally didn’t enjoy the garlic sauce recipe it’s quite thick and bit different to other garlic sauces I’ve had, but overall the pizza was so good would order from here again. Garlic sauce was still edible just not one of my favourites. Thank You

Food was delivered quickly and was piping hot but it was tasteless, disappointing

We got chicken wrap and a chicken burger both weren't really very nice and cheesy chips I had to add my own cheese as there was hardly any on. Couldn't be bothered to complain we've had such a busy weekend all we wanted was food baths and bed. Won't order from hear again tho

Lovely wraps and chips. Very pleasant driver too. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

The kebab was disgusting. Lettuce and un pickled red cabbage can hardly be classed as a salad. The garlic sauce was mayonnaise not a sauce and needed a knife to cut through it and I payed an extra £1.95 as sauce was not standard with the kebab. The whole lot went straight in the bin Ive never used Manhattan Pizza before and won't ever use them again. And the order took ages to arrive aswell.

Never ever had a chicken kebab like it ! Tiny bits of chicken , soo salty, first time trying ( other normal go to was a 2hr wait ) wish I had just waited ) pizza toppings slid off the pizza , it’s a never again for me

Ordered French fries but got chunky frozen chips wouldnt have ordered chips usually but like french fries , they went straight in the bin

Was horrible. I’ve emailed just eat asking for refund. Was not deeppan at all only the crust was. Was that poorly made the toppings and cheese fell off when I went to take a bite.

Food was disgusting, nobody finished their meal and we found a bit of nail in one of the pizzas. Searching for cheese on the pizzas, bolognese was sparce and to top it off the garlic bread had no garlic or cheese. We actually called up asking where the meat pizza was as it was identical to the kebab pizza (from the lack of bolognese and pepperoni) and got told to look at the menu as it clearly stated the pizza did have kebab on, which wasn't the point. Never ordering from here again and will advise family against it too.

Speedy delivery, pizza was just out of the oven hot. Extremely satisfied.

Poor pizza, base would be great if they could get the dough cooked correct as it had good flavour and crisp, (the bits that were baked enough) . The base sauce was also tasty but the toppings just slides off the top maybe they use a cheaper ingredients were they can.

Really nice pizza cooked to perfection. Toppings tasted nice and fresh. Came early and was red hot, what more can you ask for

Lacking the quality it use to , there was 7 of us some pizzas lacked flavour and think that was cos lack of sauce very dry , the garlic bread was like the forgotten man not seen out like it totally burnt like a biscuit on bottom and enermic on the top, nobody new was a garlic bread lol . I’ve been going to Manhattan since I was 12 so that’s eleven years so very disappointed after £57 spend , driver was nice , was just the food itself disappointed with

Lasagne had a piece of thin plastic in it and really watery. Cheesecake was frozen and the order didn't arrive on time.

The pizza was literally the most disgusting thing I have ever put in my mouth! It was cold, there was literally no tomato purée left on it as it seems to have all soaked up into the base. Mushrooms were on it which was not mentioned and the toppings just slid off. Tastes like damp cardboard. For the price we paid, this is shocking. Hope we get a refund!

Very very well made unique and authentic pizza. The deep pan inferno is my favourite and always excellent with a great service delivery. Cooked to perfection and garnished to taste. You won't regret it friends, I guarantee 💯
