The best restaurants in Windy Nook and Whitehills Gateshead North East

Very lovely staff but unfortunately the food was terrible. The burger was very cheap meat and the most dry burger I have ever eaten. It wouldn't even bend, clearly been reheated. The chips were undercooked and the potato was very starchy. There was also loads more rice and barely any curry, however the curry was nice . The chapati was OK. Unfortunately I dont think I will be ordering from here again, which is a shame as it is highly rated.

Food absolutely unreal, preserved meat thali, packed with meat and loads of flavour. Asked for the lamb to be made slightly hotter, was perfect. Will defo order again

Local pub/eaterier good food well priced.didnt eat today just had a drink.

Ordered 2 meals lasagna and chips & Pie and chips. The lasagna arrived cold and was sent back. The replacement meal arrived and had been over microwaved and was hard and crispy around the edges. We have had meals here in the past but the quality has plummeted. Don’t know if there has been a change in management or a change of chef, but we will not be eating here again.

Can't fault this place. Staff are very friendly polite and professional, excellent menu and the food is excellent. Definitely recommend this place.

Fresh cookie doughs are usually amazing but it took longer than estimated to arrive, which would have been fine, except it arrived cold not warm and the ice cream was completely melted which ruined the dessert. £20 quid an hour and a half later it's a bit disappointing. I would recommend, but only if you're collecting yourself.

The various major food websites are getting greedier than ever. I would therefore recommend that you download the Saleems app and order on that. For what we had, the difference in price was between £7 - £8 less. It actually made the difference between placing the order or not. My wife had Tikka Chicken Dopiaza with Garlic Pilau rice, whilst I had Tikka Chicken Punjabi with Onion Fried rice. Both meals were delicious and nicely spiced. The rice portion was in the same sized carton as the curry and one portion would probably be enough for two, unless you are very hungry. The chicken was tender and there was lots of it, so worth the money. We shared a Peshwari naan which was equally tasty.
