Finally, got round to trying this place after reading several reviews and was not Disappointed! This place offers delivery, take out and has a small seating area up stairs. The menu is full of a variety of Asian inspired dishes and is very well priced. Myself and my partner tried the katsu pork and honey chilli chicken, both meals were delicious! & I cant wait to try some of the other meals available. The staff were very friendly and ran the service very efficiently, considering they were up and down the stairs serving food and cleaning the other tables. Will definitely return 😃

We’re not vegans, merely vegetarians! However it was a lovely surprise to stumble across this stall whilst on a walk around Durham. Whilst not hungry at the time, we bought some pastries and a scotch egg for later, purely because it was nice to see a trader specialising in meat free (or in this case vegan) products and not someone making a token effort. All of of our food tasted awesome and we’ll definitely make a point of visiting here to try something else the next time we are in Durham.

I have now been to Wishbone a few times and I have never been disappointed. The atmosphere, drinks and starters are all individually incredible and come together to create the perfect segway into the best chicken you can find in Durham. For a very reasonable price, get ready to have your mind blown. Incredible flavours and unique combinations… my personal favourite is the Sichuan pepper wing. I cannot recommend it enough, and even better - you can order alongside all the phenomenal food found in Barrio Comida, above!

The place was packed, the table and chairs we were sitting was old and uncomfortable. I ordered redbush tea with scone. Tea was rectangular bleached tea bag which seemed supermarket essential. Scone was nice but there was cream and jam aside, they charged extra £1 although I didn’t ask cream! I don’t think I will visit again.

Thought a would treat my wife to Sunday lunch at Faru. First of all the service was fabulous could not be faulted. My wife asked for advice regarding the wine choice and tge wine she had was lovely, however it's a little disappointing to pay £34 a bottle and it's a screw top. Now the food the oysters were fabulous the carpaccio was lovely with popping flavours from mushrooms and nuts. The milk bread was very nice as was the chicken fat butter but I don't think it's an improvement on real butter. The parmasan soup was nice the hazelnuts were a great addition. The main sauce was disappointing the beef was excellent as was the carrot, the roast potatoes were very poor the yorkshire pudding was large light but flavourless. The cauliflower cheese was mainly stuck to the dish with dried sauce needed to be a lot more sauce. Pudding, the salted caramel tasted like burnt caramel and was far too sweet my wife couldn't eat it. The open kitchen is a good idea but please try and look like you are enjoying your job dear me, also if you are pouring the soup into a bowl maybe use something better that a plastic jug. Plating up looked nice but took so long on the pass nothing was really hot, but that is probably the nature of the beast. £155 for 2 Sunday lunch needs to be top drawer.
