The best restaurants in Peckham Southwark London

We honestly didn't know what to expect from a place we've walked passed several times in the past & always wondered what it was like so me & my friends finally decided to take the plunge yesterday evening and sample the fare on offer at the Tapas rooms in Peckham and I can honestly say as someone who has sampled tapas in and around Spain and beyond this is some of the finest tapas me and my guests have ever tasted. The manageress who served us helpfully explained all the dishes and ingredients to us & how every dish was freshly made from scratch & all the ingredients were sourced personally by the chef so we basically chose a couple of dishes each plus the chilled red wine which was a perfect accompaniment and comes highly recommended! We had the octopus which was incredibly tender, the hamon literally melted in the mouth, served with delicious bread and home made seasoned olive oil, the blue cheese and fig was also amazing,every dish that arrived on our table was excellent and the service was first class considering the place was busy and all the dishes are freshly made. The atmosphere and general ambience made for a memorable evening and we will definitely be back for more!

If someone in south-east London does better cheesy chips, I've yet to find them 🍟🧀😋

Foo was cold! They have made the portion sizes smaller & there’s barely any salad. Not impressed.

My sister went to the Peckham pie & mash on sat 1st june 2024 for take away pies she also got me 2 lots of jeiiied eels, must say only got 5 small pieces of eel & rest was jelley must say had no taste & for £4.95 each was a disgusting price to pay they should be ashamed of them selves. I am not vegetarian but I came with friends who are… I loved it! Amazing restaurant Casual but delicious food Go for the tasting menu (30 pounds per person). Worth returning when in Beckham!!!

nice little cake shop offering rainbow cakes which are eggless. There are so many cakes so it is hard to decide which one to get.

If you like to freeze in a pub on a lunchbreak with cold food and bar srewards that for the most part act like they don't want to be there and complain they're too hot while all the customers look like they're freezing with coats, hats and scarfs on then this is the place for you. I was so cold it was phenomenal upon asking why it was necessary to have the air conditioning on when there was a freezing baltic wind outside I was made aware that it was to keep the kegs cold. ? . Hmmm Yeah right . " what in the basement!" . Shame really as I certainly will not be returning to this one. If I were the owner of a chain that it seems to be closing a lot their branches i would seriously have a word with the management of this one as we all know that the air con doesn't have to be on for that reason and the staff seem to just be catering for themselves instead of their patrons . Who by the way is the reason that they are are even there in the first place. Whatever happened to the customer always being right. Between the glass collecting gruffalo and the failed actress barmaid this place is terrible. I have read all the good reviews and one of them was also for cold food ( yum this cold food is great 5 stars ). My review is however honest and I am hoping that one of the managers, owner or regional manager reads this and can rectify the frosty welcome the freezing air and the overall attitude of the running of this historic establishment. Rang para perseguir, ya que solo comer aconsejó una vez, la pizza no llegó. ¡El hombre en el teléfono encantador ofreció una lata de bebida para compensar la entrega tardía! Les dije que no Beber latas, se ofrece tarta de queso (aceptado). En general, no vale la pena la espera extremadamente larga. Ofendido tuvo que llamar para averiguarlo, no me avisó retrasado. . . ¿La pizza tenía un olor extraño? Dejó la mayor parte. Pérdida de dinero, larga espera, comunicación nula desde la pizzería. No volveremos Es una pena chico encantador en ph.

Absolutely appalling! Order food through just-eat. Delivery took just under 2hrs, when food did come items were missing, food was cold and pots of sauces leaked where they did not ensure lids were secured.
