The best restaurants in Newington Southwark London

The shop has foldable seats where you can choose to eat in. The lady said there were no bowls so it was served in a takeaway container which was fine. The broth was tasty where you can taste the shrimp paste and lemon grass. There is a sweetness to the broth which I enjoyed. I would like to try the non spicy version next time and would visit again. For anyone that would like to visit, it is a cash only place.

Seafood platter was Brilliant! The food portion was reasonable and very tasty we had good customer service too.

Best Lebanese in London - I made a last minute booking for Valentine’s Day and it didn’t disappoint. I’d rather say it greatly exceeded out expectations! The mixed grill, hummus and Moutabal were to die for, absolutely luscious! Will be back!

Clare & Phoebe are fantastic hosts who are able to somehow combine the delicate art of hosting with the equally delicate art of delicious food and drink, Lucy and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and left (later than we should have!) feeling full to the brim with food, (and food for thought!), drink, merriment and good vibes, Clare & Phoebe's flat is very bohemian and perfectly decorated, the table they had set for our dining party was marvellous and the wine-bottle opener a personal favourite not-soon-to-be-forgot! Thank you both from the bottom of our hearts (and the bottom of our bellies too!)

There was a rather large Q but it didn’t take long to go down which was helpful since I was in a rush. Great staff.

Order arrived very quickly and was as expected but also came with a little surprise! A whole tub of plant based brownie ice cream! Very kind of konditor and unexpected, thank you! Will order again

One of the best Jazz clubs (& World music) in London in my humble opinion and happens to be an excellent restaurant too. Must try their cocktails btw May seem a bit “off the beaten track” but is 5 mins walk from Elephant & Castle station and in Zone 1. It has become a regular for us - we especially enjoyed the “Groove verse” night (Jazz - spoken word fusion) and the Moroccan band in Autumn ‘24 (ARFOUD Brothers)

Horrible food. Quality and quantity poor. The shrimps "panados" With the shell and the old lady said "it is Peruvian way to do the shrimps". Expensive and overpriced food. One of the worst peruvian restaurant in London for sure. Now my review in Spanish. First of all, the man who served also cooked. Surely they were missing a chef and they had no better idea than to continue with the service and provide bad food. The breaded waiters are horrendous. They are not breaded either, they are fried with shell and everything. Horrendous how they are served and on top of that there are 4. Then the salchipapa for 7 pounds is ridiculous. If you are hungry don't come to this place, if you are looking for good food don't come to this place. You have better Ecuadorian and Colombian restaurants very close to this one. Not recommended and I am going to warn all my contacts about this place. Don't waste your money here.

Pedimos nuestro pastel de bodas de Arif, junto con 30 bizcochos. La tarta era absolutamente delicioso y hermoso, fue simplemente perfecto. Los bizcochos eran igual de bien - húmeda y tan sabroso! Gracias Arif y su equipo! Marco

This is such a fabulous cafe- I grabbed an early morning coffee and cake before a workshop round the corner. the service and atmosphere is electric! The cafe is in such a historical part of town too. It got my morning off to a great start.
