Our 1st day in the UK and we decided to go out for some beers and a bite to eat. We came upon The Unicorn, lovely place and super friendly people. When we decided to finally eat we found out the kitchen had closed up an hour before. The owner Deb asked if we liked pizza and literally called a place down the road and booked us a table for 2 and then drive us there.amd walked us inside to make sure they took care of us. After eating we walked back just to hang out and drink with the locals and thank Deb. I highly recommend stopping in, having a pint and saying hi!

Great location for going to the Warner Bros Studio Tour. Staff warm and welcoming throughout the day, especially the waitress Sue, and always on hand to help. Rooms were cosy and had a great cottage vibe to them. No issues with beds or any other apparatus. Electricity working all fine. Food was particularly good at reasonable prices for the area. Breakfast at £10 was a steal. And evening food had some great selections, especially the pies. 🥧 Couldn't ask for better in terms of service. Bathroom could have been slightly cleaner but for a nights stay, it was absolutely manageable. Definitely would stay again.

We went here for our breakfast whilst staying at a hotel down the road. We had a full English breakfast and it's was lovely and reasonably priced. I particularly need to comment on the eggs, I have chickens and I'm really fussy, however these eggs were nice and (nearly) as nice as the ones my girls lay 😊, the sausages were tasty too. The breakfast actually saw us though from 11.30am to about 9pm, we just didn't feel hungry as we were so full. The lady who served us (I assume the landlady) was polite, attentive and chatty and we would definitely recommend it. We were hoping to return later on for tea, however, we spent longer than we thought at Harry Potter studios. If we return we will definitely pop in again to try an evening meal.

I don't understand why the other reviews were poor? In our own experience we have now used this takeaway twice and I have to say they are one of the best takeaways in this area. I had the half chicken bbq and it was tasty and tender and reasonably priced. It was delivered hot-ish so what's not to like?

absolutely shy7e, all of them are proper crumpets, sent out of date coleslaw out and took half an hour to bring a new one and when they brought the new one it tasted like wet soggy football boots and the pepperoni on the pizza tasted like a horses trotter, proper horrible gaff wouldn’t recommend

Waited for a long time without any sign of staff, actually went to the hotel reception to check the restaurant was indeed open, was told yes, they are probably just busy. Eventually got a table and ordered drinks, was told they had Becks Blue as an alcohol free alternative only to be told 5 minutes later that she had dropped the last one. I ordered the Buttermilk Chicken Burger and skin on fries but unfortunately received what can only be described as a wafer thin, bone dry, supermarket ‘smart price’ breaded escalope and oven chips. Now don’t get me wrong, I have no issue with supermarket food but I do not expect to be charged £14 for it! My daughter ordered the mini fish fingers from the children’s menu but ended up with huge, overcooked, greasy fish goujons which remained untouched. Very, very poor.
