The best restaurants in Roughton North Norfolk East of England

Firstly really great to allow your dog in. Lovely produce but however let down by being freezing cold,had to sit with a coat on as did 4 other people. Was contemplating the Sunday lunch because it looks great but it would have to be a lot warmer

new year’s party, great pub with interesting twist, we brought tickets for party, got there at 7.00 and were invited to have a seat upstairs in cocktail lounge, lovely comfortable chairs and great staff who waited on us at the table, even though we left at 21.00 it was an experience

Nice fish & chips. However did not think it worth £24.60 I paid for a normal size cod & chips twice. I felt it was expensive for take away meal .

we had been recommended this restaurant, so was looking forward to it. sorry but very disappointed had a toasted turkey sandwich and chips with gravy, the turkey was a piece of very chewy cardboard (couldnt call it meat). the sandwich itself was very dry. when the young lady collected my plate she asked if all was well i said no it was dry she said there was gravy to dip it in. never dipped a sandwich in gravy before. not very helpful, shant be going again

Absolutely love this place from the beautiful ,peaceful setting to the wonderful food and hospitality. We were lucky enough to spend a two night break here staying in the Ellis room , the room was perfect and spacious and had stunning views of the deer park and was lovely and cosy aswell as pet friendly, the little dog bed and treats in the room was a lovely added touch. We only dined in the restaurant on valentines evening however the setting was perfect not too noisey and our dog was welcomed at the table aswell. The food was spot on the pork chop was the best ive ever had!.Breakfast in the morning was a nice selection of fruit juices,fruit,cereals and yogurts alongside cooked options from the kitchen we opted for a cooked english breakfast and salmon and scrambled eggs which were delicious. We got to see so many deer as they often come quite close to the pub especially early hours of the morning such a lovely place hope to return again one day soon. Amazing stay Thank you!
